Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Kingsville

Went through the drive through, there was no line, the ordering process was very pleasant and quick. Went to the window and the woman was very nice and polite, handed me my drinks and asked me to pull to the front to wait for my food.(2- 8pcs shrimp meals with mash potatoes and gravy, a 4 pc jalapeños bombers and fried okra) not a problem. After about 4 minutes a young gentleman came out and told me there was a 5 minute wait on the biscuits and would I take a few extra bombers instead, again, sure… not a problem. 9 minutes later (I know this because I called my friend while I continued to wait) he returns and lists my exact order verbatim and that the biscuits were fresh so they didn’t need to replace them with jalapeños. It was beginning to rain again so I said my thanks and wished him a nice night. I drove the 5 blocks back to my house, battled the rain as I run inside and no okra and the shrimp was cold, probably boxed as soon as I ordered it. Sounds minor but I had gone through the drive through with my friend right after they first opened and the same thing happened with her. Waited for the food and no okra. me and my boyfriend ordered a 3pcs original tender combo and a 5pcs spicy tender combo with an extra side of mashed potatoes & gravy, they said we have to wait an extra 5 minutes for the spicy because they had only 2 left and we said okay we will wait, we payed and they said pull up to the front to wait. 30 minutes later they come out apologizing and saying they’re sorry they forgot to give us our drinks when we payed and that the food is coming, they come out with our tenders and a free apple pie but we dont have our sides or our drinks so we told them and they said the sides should be in the box and we told them only the tenders were in the box so they went back in and brought out our sides and drinks, we finally leave and at home i find they gave me a quarter way filled styrofoam cup of mac and cheese, i ate it in 3 bites, and my boyfriend only received 2 spicy tenders and the rest were original for his 5 piece, we waited over 30 minutes for his spicy tenders to only receive the 2 she told us about and they were not fresh they were hard and chewy. for my first time ever going to church’s chicken and dealing with this i don’t think ill be going back. only a 2 star bc they gave...

Ordered online for pickup and had ordered 1 two piece chicken original and 1 two piece spicy chicken meal w/ mashed potato along with 2 side orders (1 Mac&cheese and 1 okra). Got there for pickup after the time it gave me and had to wait longer as they hadn’t had it ready yet but also had confusion on it not being a Doordash order. None of that matters to me and I don’t mind waiting and no one was behind me so no rush. Unfortunately when I finally got home and gave out the food, both sets of chicken were regular and the okra was exchanged for another order of mashed potato.
