Sat May 3rd 2025 had the worst customer service at Wendy's at the Plaza today. I pull up to the drive-thru speaker. Register clerk asked me what did I want. I told him to give me a minute. About 30 seconds later I started to place my order. Then he tells me to hold on a minute. His minute turn into about 3 minutes. He comes back to the speaker and asked me to proceed with my order. I told him I wanted three son of a baconator sandwiches a baconator fry, and a baconator combo. He says that he can't make the baconator fries because he just put cheese in the cheese warmer. So I changed the order to a baked potato sour cream and Chive. He tells me my order is 25.99. I pull around to the window give him $30. He takes my money then tells me to hold on for a minute. Leaves the window and comes back about 4 minutes later. Then he asked me if he gave me back my change. Knowing that he didn't. I asked him for a receipt. He tells me he can't give me a receipt because the registers broken. He passes me a bag. By the way mind you there's no other cars in the line behind me. And that was no cars waiting before me when I pulled in to the store. He passes me my change and a bag. I told my friend to check the bag. The bag had the three son of a baconator sandwiches and a baked potato. No baconator combo no fry. Not mind you I was sitting in the window for about 10 minutes now waiting just to get the bag that he passed me. So then I tell him I did not get the baconator combo in the bag. Acting like he has an attitude with me tell somebody to make him medium fry order to go. Passes me the bag. I'm thinking he put the sandwich in the bag also but he didn't. So at this point I see a car finally coming up behind me. So I pull up and check the bag. And it's just a medium fry. By this time I'm actually boiling inside. Because this customer service is crazy. So I sent my passenger inside the store with the bags to let them see that they did not give me a baconator sandwich for my combo. Not passengers stated he asked what did he forget when he walked to the counter. He told him the sandwich. And the register clerk said oh. Saw the baconator sandwich sitting up there by where the fry warmer is. Grabbed it and then threw it on the counter to my friend with an attitude. I did not catch the register clerk name. But he had look like start a dreadlocks in his hair. And the ends of his hair or died like a honey blonde color. I just want to say this customer service was very tacky. Then when I get to my house to eat my food open up the wrapper with the baconator sandwich in it. Looks like a third of the corner of the bun had been ripped off. That's what I was showing in the picture. As long as it took you to serve me my food. With no rush hour. And no one originally waiting behind me. You couldn't fix me a decent sandwich. On top of that the son of a baconator sandwiches only had two pieces of bacon each. In the commercial it shows four pieces of bacon. I do hope this register clerk is better trained and or recommended for the bad...
Read moreMaybe a good place to eat if you are African American, but not if you are white. We came in with smiling faces, trying to be nice to the workers like decent human beings should and we did not get the same treatment in return. I walked up and ordered and the young (African American) lady at the register would not look at me or speak even one word to say she had gotten my order, not even a “Will that be all?”, she just stared at the counter. Her behavior was so strange I wasn’t even sure she had heard me. My husband then walked up and asked if I was done ordering to which I replied “I guess so?” still trying to figure out if the young lady had heard me. My husband was met with the same attitude from her. The only time she spoke to me was when I asked if my food came with a drink and she said no. Once we received our food, my husband realized they never gave him the chocolate frosty he ordered so I went to the counter and said “Sorry, but my husband ordered a small chocolate frosty?”. All she said was “We only have orange creamsicle”. She never even informed him of that when he placed his order because she would not speak to us. So he never got any kind of frosty and we ate our food and left. Before anyone assumes maybe she was just having a bad day and it wasn’t because we were white, nopeee. An African American family came in and ordered food and she was all smiles and friendly to them. There was another (male) African American person working in the kitchen who seemed very angry to be serving us as he threw our order of Cinnabons in the microwave and slammed the door, then proceeded to beat on the counter with his fist. Racism works both ways, folks. We gave them no reason to be unkind to us, it was all because of the color...
Read moreSorry long post.. Today I went to Wendy's to get a late lunch. I entered the restaurant and It was not busy at all. Three staff members saw me standing at the register and none of them acknowledged my presence. Finally when the cashier Mikayla came to the register, she made excuses as to why she didn't see me. She was inattentive as I ordered, even walking away from the register one time without explanation. Once she returned, I proceeded to state my order. Her response after each item was" anything else, anything else...". I ordered 5 different items and this was her response each time. I specifically stated several times that the Dave's double that I ordered was to have no cheese, and only lettuce, tomato and mayo. Upon receiving the hamburger, I checked and sure enough, there were 2 slices of cheese. I showed her the burger with cheese and her response was, "can't you just take the cheese off of it yourself?" I explained to her that I could but that I had ordered it without cheese. As I was still waiting for my Frosty, I said, you know, I can take the cheese off as long as it has not melted. I tried, but as suspected the cheese would not come off. I proceeded to show her that the cheese could not be removed because it had already melted. She then stated that it could not be remade because I had touched it. I told her that she was rude and that I paid to have the burger made a certain way and that they needed to remake it. Finally, she took the burger and the cook remade it. I thanked the cook for remaking it...
