Drift Cafe Porters Neck — Restaurant in Kirkland

Hands down one of the best iced lattes I’ve ever had, and I don’t say that lightly.

Huge thanks to Elizabeth C for the latte recommendation here at Drift. The espresso was smooth and bold, the sweetness was perfectly balanced, and the sprinkle of cinnamon on top was the cherry on top. The vibe inside is bright, calming, and filled with plants and natural light, making it the perfect spot to work or relax. I opened my laptop to get some work done and ended up staying way longer than planned because it was just that good.

Drift Cafe, you've officially earned a permanent spot in my coffee rotation....

I was really looking forward to trying Drift Coffee, but my visit was kind of a letdown. I ordered an iced vanilla latte, and to be honest, it just wasn’t good—it tasted pretty bland, and I actually thought, “I should’ve just made this at home.”

What made the experience more disappointing was the vibe from the staff. There wasn’t much friendliness or warmth, which really affects the whole energy of a place. I’m not sure why someone would work in customer service if they don’t enjoy connecting with people—it definitely showed.

Nice place to get brunch with some good healthy options. Drift Coffee has a nice Scandi-modern aesthetic and atmosphere I normally like, but this one was not very cozy inside. The space felt too large for the amount of furniture and decorations they have. And the chairs, while aesthetic, were not very comfortable. It felt like something was missing in general. Overall, in my opinion, it’s good to at least try and check it...
