The Google review rating was decent so we thought we'd give it a try. When we arrived, there were only a couple of other tables occupied. This made the long wait time for our order to be taken and food to arrive surprising. Maybe they were short staffed in the kitchen? We were there nearly 1.5 hours and most of it was waiting for the food.

Even if the kitchen was busy, not ONCE were we offered a refill on our water or soft drinks. We were rarely checked on at all.

The waitress was decently friendly while we were ordering (until the end, when she made a snide comment in Spanish to her co-workers, directed at my boyfriend: "What good was that tip?").

The street tacos al pastor was falling apart at the seams upon the first bite (it literally looked like the tortilla was dipped into oil but not cooked), the meat was chewy and stringy. I had a burrito and the carne asada was tender but the other ingredients didn't taste very fresh. It just didn't seem like a $16 entree.

I actually got really sick after leaving. I wish we'd have spent the $50 somewhere else. Despite the mediocre experience, I didn't plan on leaving a review. However, that rude tip comment at the end just capped off the entire bad experience and others deserve to know what they might encounter here.

There's always a chance that this is normally a great place to eat at - that perhaps this was an isolated incident...but I won't risk it by...

First time eating here and I absolutely cannot believe all the great reviews! I rarely leave bad reviews but we tried this place after multiple recommendations on neighborhood site! The positive experiences was friendly and service was good. Service was good cuz we were the only ones there besides 1 couple that came in after us and a few in the bar! Should of known at lunch time it was empty but we gave it a shot! The food was absolutely disgusting, not fresh, meat rubbery and overcooked like it was microwaved. Chips were mostly crumbs, salsa was watery and zero flavor rice, peppers tasted old! The seasoning was foul! We were very disappointed yet we will never complain as we've been in retail our entire life! It's not easy but I felt I had to write a review that the quality was a dissapointment especially what it cost to eat out these days. We frequent family businesses and will always tip big even if the food is not up to standard to be honest even if service sucks if busy! I'm truly in shock that customers give 4 and 5 star ratings. We always give a second chance but it was so terrible we won't be back! With all the choices of mexican restaurants to chose from this one just isn't it...

Hey Sara Waltz! The sign “Drivers don’t block the walkway” is for safety :). We have customers of all ages and abilities and we don’t want the walkway from the dining room to the front door to be blocked for them. A blocked front door is also a safety hazard. Our staff also need space to carry heavy plates and hot foods to avoid accidents. Most restaurants will agree, us businesses have some drivers that stand in front of the kitchen and will block the way and this is the most simple sign to tell them to wait in our seat filled waiting area. As for your 15 minute wait time, we are a restaurant, not a fast food chain. We like to send out hot and fully cooked meals and only have one kitchen. Each order is made first come first serve. You should have talked to the owner instead of leaving a one star review to a restaurant in which you are not a customer. Maybe you would have understood our sign and...
