I have been coming here for 14 years and today was so disappointing. When I arrived there were not that many tables and I was greeted immediately and ordered a coffee. I knew exactly what I wanted and was able to order pretty quickly. The server was someone I have had before and typically does amazing service. I don't know what happened today, an off day? Still...when you pay for food at a restaurant you expect service. As I sat there and waited for my food to arrive more people started to show up for the lunch rush. There was one server and one young man who was constantly touching his hair which doesn't seem very hygienic when you are working with food, but what ever. I ordered a burger and salad. I ate the salad first and the server dropped off the bill. I had noticed a sign in the window asking for help and inquired about it and she mumbled that they were looking for dishwashers and bus boys as she walked away...ok.... So I finish eating my salad and bit into the burger. It was dry and overcooked so I set it aside and waited for someone to come check on me to see how things were. I sat and sat and sat while they ran around doing other things. Now I understand when things get busy you just do your best to go from one thing to the other, but time kept passing by. There was another table next to me waiting patiently for assistance too, but it did not come. Then the owner (?) manager (?) came in and no one looked up and around to notice whether or not anyone needed help. So I waited. Finally I started to wave my hand around until the young man noticed me and came over. I explained the burger was dry and overcooked and could I please have some ranch to make it a bit easier to go down. He got the ranch and dropped it off. I gave him my cc to pay as I noticed it was getting busier and busier and don't you know he adjusted my bill and added the ranch...So disappointed. I got up and walked out and as I walked through the door I heard someone shout thank you for...
Read moreI used to like this place because they serve nice portions but apparently the manager (young guy, dark hair) doesn't seem to know how to treat his customers. I called the place at 10:20pm to figure out how long they serve food, I was told the kitchen closes at 11:00pm. Since I was in Seattle (20 min away) I decided to place an order at 10:40pm for pick up since I figured I might not make in time. The manager again picked up the phone and told me the kitchen is closed, once I wanted to confront him about our previous conversation (that the kitchen is open until 11:00pm) his rude self hung up on me! Since I was only 5 min away I stopped by ththe to ask for the manager since I thought in my mind, the ride person on the phone must have been an employee. Little did I know once I entered the bar and asked for the manager, that it was him on the phone. Once he told me he was the manager and the person on the phone ...I thought to myself, it's time to change your profession young guy... Professional business owners treat their customers different 😁👍 Don't bother eating there after 10:20pm since you get told told wrong...
Read moreThe breakfasts here are very delicious and recommended. Lunches and appetizers are super. The french toast and quesadillas are yum! Serving sizes are large - you get what you pay for! It is fun to watch football games here. When walking in, you won't get a fuzzy greeting. Look past this - the staff is great once you are settled. It says something that the staff has been there a long time. The Game follows the mask and encroaching on privacy (vax cards) steps. If you appreciate it, this is a good place for you. If you don't, there are many places that do not check vax cards in the area. I was disappointed and prepared not to return, but I saw how responsive they are to their customers, they do what's right overall. Importantly, being one to support local and small business owners, I pray it doesn't hurt their business. They are an icon in the neighborhood. I just ordered a burger to take out! When the crazy goes away I will come back inside for breakfast! I'm praying for your...
