St. Louis Bread Co. — Restaurant in Kirkwood

First of all, this location apparently doesn’t open until 8am as of last week. It was really fun to wake up early in order to get breakfast on my way to work, only to be met with a silent drive thru and no way of knowing that they weren’t open yet until I pulled up to the window. Why didn’t anyone think to put up a sign? No breakfast for me that day. Bread co used to be my favorite place growing up. It felt like home. The food was always simple, but delicious. Because of that, I keep giving them so many chances. I keep convincing myself that I can blame my messed up order on a fluke or a single bad employee, but they keep getting it wrong. I rarely make modifications to my orders. I was a server for 3 years and I know how annoying that can be. I just wish the company could go back to how it used to be. Simple menu, quality items. The menu is trying too hard now and they’ve lost their identity. I’m disappointed in the company as a whole, but this location pushed me over the edge. This Paneras/St. Louis bread Company; located on Manchester/Woodlawn Rd. and in the same parking lot as Schnucks, is an excellent location! It's always very quiet, very clean and the food/drinks and everything is always fresh and great. I go to this location a lot and I never had any problems!

Occasionally, the WiFi here doesn't work. But, if that's the case, simple sign onto Schnucks' WiFi. Schnucks' WiFi is so strong that you don't even have to leave the Paneras building in order to sign onto Schnucks. You could do it while you're sitting inside of Paneras. And their WiFi is free too. Both places are great places to use WiFi if you want to relax and use laptop.

One more thing: Their manager Mary is one of the nicest individuals you'll ever meet for miles. She's very encouraging She's always great to talk; even if it's about life in general. She's one of the bright spots at this restaurant and is worth mentioning.

Let me tell you about my four recent experiences here. Four visits ago I was told that other than plain coffee, they don't offer any decaf drinks because they all come premixed. I'm not sure if this is true because the girl sounded horribly confused about what a decalf drink was. If it is true... well that just plain sucks... Three visits ago they took a large pastry ring and placed it sideways in a bag so it got completely smushed into a pastry blob at the bottom of my paper bag. Two visits ago I got a sandwich which consisted of hardly anything on the bread (absolutely nothing on the 1 inch edge all the way around). I asked for extra sauce and got literally about two drops of mayonnaise. Not cool for $9. My visit today was at 10 a.m. and they were 100% out of every single bagel. Every bagel!? At 10 a.m.!? They really need to get their act together because this isn't up to par... And I love...
