Panda Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Kirkwood

The food is actually quite good, but we waited over 2 hours for takeout food that was promised to be ready in 30 minutes, and paid for a dish that we didn’t get (moo shu pork). My suggestion is that this restaurant figure out how to sync online and phone and walk-in orders so that times when orders are ready are more realistic, and that they find a good expediter so that orders are filled IN ORDER, and hopefully completely. I’m very sad that I tipped on our online order as clearly the service was lacking. And I did ask about our order several times while waiting. The last time, at the 2 hours after ordering mark, they had trouble finding the receipt, then said the food had not yet been started and did we still want it. This was after filling a walk-in order within 20 minutes. Thirty minutes later we had our order, minus one $10 dish. Clearly some managerial issues...

It’s really a take out place though there are a few lightly used tables. ( I only go at night so, maybe lunch gets some use).

Great food! Very fresh vegetables and other ingredients as well. Everything is very tasty and no canned vegetables or goopy sauces. The won tons in the wonton soup are the best I’ve ever had.

Their “special diet” section is ideal for those [my wife) that are particularly health conscious, and yet she raves at how tasty everything is.

Lastly, it’s NOT Panda Express. This is a single, family-run business where they work really hard, everyone chips in, they have great food, and it’s really nice to see them rewarded with what looks like a steady stream of business...

This is my go to Chinese restaurant. I am allergic to eggs and gluten free. I always order the chicken with mixed vegetables and ask in the notes to make it with white sauce and it comes out perfect every single time. I love that the dish is all white meat with fresh veggies in a flavorful yet gluten free sauce. My boyfriend loves their crab Rangoon, pork fried rice, and cashew chicken. I still can’t get over how reasonable the prices are especially since their portions are large!

The reviews that complain about the atmosphere are unfair. Just know that this is a place best for delivery (available on at least Postmates, Uber Eats, & DoorDash) or take out. We will forever be...
