Chino Rico (John Young) — Restaurant in Kissimmee

HORRIBLE FOOD AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. I placed an order for the first time and asked for the sweet and sour combo and explained that I wanted Lo Mein instead of the rice. The guy who took my order didn't tell me that the combo only comes with the rice and nothing else. After I got home all I see is rice with fried chicken. I called the restaurant to explain that the order was wrong and also tell them that there was no sweet and sour chicken I included. As such, I asked for part of a refund for my inconvenience. The guy refused and only told me he was sorry and that the sweet and sour sauce was in the restaurant. I live 20 minutes away so he expected me to drive 20 minutes to him and back, so 40 minutes in total, to pick up a sauce that should have been added to the chicken once cooked in the first place. That was very odd. So if you order that, apparently, they put the sauce separately from the chicken, which doesn't make sense.

My husband ordered sesame chicken with friend rice and we barely tasted the food and threw it all out. So that was $30 dollars waste because the rice was salty and it tasted burned. His sesame chicken tasted like the chicken was raw and undercooked. So it was disgusting. And my order I threw out as well since the chicken tasted like nothing without the sauce and the rice was equally nasty.

Servers were very friendly and kind. Found a cockroach in the food mentioned it to one of the servers because I didn’t want to cause a scene. She asked for the plate and told the manager. Manager calls me over and when I approached him apologized and offered to remake it or refund it. I asked for a refund and asked in which food it was found since we had ordered 5 different things. I said it was the orange chicken and he offered a refund on the orange chicken which honestly same kitchen the orange chicken was made is the same the rest of the food. It was not the only thing I was dealing with at the time and I didn’t want to take it out on him. Went to my seat talked to my wife and she offered to go since I told her I did want to take it out on him. My wife gets up and talks to him and while refunding the order he asks my wife why I didn’t just tell him and she explains that I was mad to which he says “if he was mad he should’ve said something instead of sending you” I left because I was not about to turn into a “Ken” and rip him a new one in public in front of my kids and a restaurant full of customers. It's not the first time that I go there and every time I receive the same excellent service, and quality food. The service was good, well known of their products and the lady at the front give me good suggestions, also, the service was fast we receive the food on time we don't need to wait more than the estimated time that she gave me that was 15 minutes. The food was fresh, prepare to order and hot, the quantity is more than other places, we ordered the family meal and it was enough for feed 4 people my husband, my daughters and I, and still have leftovers for the next day, also, the quality is very nice the fried chicken was crispy, the rice was well cooked, the fried are nice and also, I ordered an orange chicken combination and was really tasty, the chicken was soft on the inside with a light crispy texture on the outside, they give me a separate container with the sauce and they served a huge portion enough for two people (and I only order one combination of rice and orange chicken) . I recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants fresh, hot and good food with a big quantity, it is very similar to the Chinese Restaurant in Puerto Rico. I recommend it and I will...
