We visited this location on Sunday October 27th for my dad's birthday. He wanted to choose something inexpensive and close enough to where we live. Figured it would be fine, although when we arrived we had a 20-25 minute wait. We arrived at 12:36pm, peek time of any restaurant for lunch so we knew it would be busy, but not crazy, and definitely not as unorganized as this. Mind you it was my mother, my father, my husband, myself, and my two very young kids: my 3 year old and an infant. We were not seated until 1:24pm, so that so called "20 to 25 minute wait" turned into nearly an hour. Second, there were people constantly arriving, blocking the only entrance and exit to this Denny's and there were customers that couldn't get to the register because of that, so instead they saw an opportunity to leave without paying. 5 tables at least had to walk out. There were at least 20 people standing near the entrance blocking the enterance/exit so I can only imagine that the occupancy of the building was over capacity and that a fore Marshall would have fined them for this... rediculous crowd that wasnt being dealt with. Third when we sat down our waitress looked like a deer in headlights. She got my order wrong with how I ordered my burger, didnt even know what I was ordering when I asked for it off menu, and asked my husband how he liked his eggs twice. She was very nice so I cannot blame her. The restaurant was far from organized, probably understaffed as well. The reasoning for the low review isnt just because of all this, but because of the meal. If I could give 0 stars, I certainly would. My husband ordered a T bone steak with eggs scrambled with cheese, and hashbrowns. Eggs and hashbrowns came first, then the steak came. Cooked well done, when asked to be medium rare. They took it back and made a new steak. Second steak came out rare, cold to the touch, and when you cut into it, it wasnt the normal purplish red that rare would be, it was dark brown and a little green. Both my husband have worked in food service before, we knew this meant that the steak had been sitting out for HOURS out of the proper and food safe meat temperature. It had turned, and it made our stomachs turn just looking at it. And to add to it all? We asked for the manager 3 times, when she finally came, all we had to do was show it to her and she KNEW what had happened. Her face said it all, repeat offense. Disgusting. This could have killed someone. I don't know what Denny's standards are, but after I reported this to the health department, one can only hope they at least take care of this major offense before someone ends up in the hospital. Never returning again, ever. Manager handled it well, and did not try and make excuses. She handled it above and beyond any manager in that situation would have, props to her. And i hope this location cleans up...
Read moreJust went in for a superslam and coffee ☕ the Chef apparently was cleaning the grease trap. The waitress very nice. The Chef decided to put the hash browns in the grease trap. When the waitress brought out the "superslam" it was more like a super greasy slam, I asked the waitress does this look alright too you, It smelled like week old grease I tried a bite and almost threw it up all over the table. The entire super slam was saturated in week old grease the only item that looked ok were the pancakes. This is not the first time I've had problems at the same location, I ordered a 1/4 pounder w/cheese and fries the other night around the same time and the burger was salted out I had to give the burger to the dog. Apparently their is no supervision with the chef and possibly because all the orders are take out he thinks he can do this. I spoke to him, he came out and apologized he said he was cleaning the grease trap. Then I said I don't want this discussing smelly greasy food I'm leaving, I said he should be ashamed of serving disgusting food too your clients, I always have had good experiences at Denny's this location, the night before the Chef locked the door and put a handwritten note saying the waitress didn't show up so you can only order. So I called and called to place an order over the telephone because I'd rather tip the employee and not the App. I couldn't order and had to wait until 7am to place an order at the front desk. Honestly Management should stay vigilant towards the nightly services because for such a nice and new Denny's they are destroying the opinion on the food they serve, that's besides the point IHOP is also 24/7 so I decided to take a short drive and get some fresh food. I'm sick to my stomach just finished brushing my teeth and I still can't get the taste of weeks old oil out of my mouth ........
Read moreWorse Denny's I have ever been too! If you are planning to go somewhere with good service and good food, DO NOT GO HERE! The main problem with this Denny's would be a server named Carmen. We were seated and our order taken by Carmen, she then brought us our drinks. Unfortunately we waited half an hour before we noticed many other customers had been seated and served after us. Anyone who has gone to Denny's before knows it takes roughly 10 to 15 mins to be served. Once we noticed the delay, I called over another server and told her our order had been taken by Carmen. The other server looked to see if our order had been taken, and she couldn't find it. So she asked us to wait and she would take our order. She continued to be our server for the rest of the meal. Meanwhile Carmen never apologized and never came back to the table like any other decent human being who had made a mistake would do. When it came time to pay up front, the lady asked us how our visit was I told her not good, she did not even acknowledge what I had said, AND then she asked if I would like to leave a tip, and I explained to her the poor service we had and no I would not like to leave tip, she then tried to question me why I would not leave tip as if lack of service was not a good enough answer. This was a frustrating and unhappy meal and I suggest no one eat here, and if for some reason you must eat here make sure you do not get...
