Made reservations based on online menu and really wanting steak with guasaca. Arrived to a building shared with a gas station. Inside was cute, but small with tables practically on top of eachother. Paper on tables instead of table cloths was more like a roadhouse instead of a restaurant. Ordered cocktails that the server clearly stated had whiskey. While the "cocktails" tasted good, they were obviously" wine based, and did not have whiskey. We ordered ceviche which had a very little tiny pieces of fish, but large pieces of onions and peppers. Bottom of bowl was full of orange slices to make it look more then what it was. $18 for 3 tiny pieces of fish. We then ordered a steak platter for two and asked about the guasaca. The server said they don't have it but would bring other sauces and it would taste just like guasaca. Finally arrived really small steaks with 4 tostones and 4 yucca fries. The sauce tasted nothing like guasaca and when I mentioned that to the server she asked if I was Puerto Rican (I am not) , in a very snooty and condescending way. Pretty much saying that I wouldn't know what guasaca is supposed to taste like becauseIam PuertoRican. The fat on the steak was not rendered and it was lacking salt. We asked for water and she brought one very small bottle of $4 of Dasni water for two people, with no cups. We went late and were pretty much her only table, but she was sitting at the bar talking to her friend, and we needed to flag another server to help us get some chimmichuri to give the steak some flavor. We ate and asked for check. When I viewed the check I let her know she over charged us for the drinks and she said okay and did nothing to fix it. We paid the check and took the over charge and so much more off of her tip. Food needs improvement, but our server was pretty bad. Definitely our first and last time at this place. Trying to make a gas station restaurant with mediocre food and poor service have fine...

It was a Friday afternoon around 1pm when we arrived, there were like 2 or 3 other parties but it seemed like the slow start to their day. The tables are so close together you cannot get between two tables or have any privacy to have a conversation because the next table is almost 5 inches away from each other they did not have spacing at all.
The service was a bit slow and there was a lot of confusion with the menu. The server later on brought a wrinkly paper printed menu that she had found somewhere.
We were a party of 3 and were mostly looking to share a few plates. So we started off with the mofonguitos de lomo, they were good and freshly made to order. We also ordered the parrillada Venezolana which was a good plate to share but it lacked with the presentation and portions, flavor wise it was good and tasty but this stake did not come out at the requested medium term. It almost seemed like this was a reheated piece of steak. And the chorizo was on the rather dry side, also seemed reheated. I wish the main entree would've been freshly made to order and at the right temperature.
The prices were a bit steep for lunch at a gas station restaurant and then we were overcharged because the server did not know how to interpret the menu pricing ...not sure I'll be back or that I'll refer anyone...
Read moreThis place is a converted McDonald's it is a nice place that has potential for more but is vary limited. The music was good had a dj all nite and live music that played for about 45 to 1 hour on both plays 1 hour or so between set. Understand this place is latin music. That is why we choose to visit. The appetizer are good and presented well server was vary knowledgeable nice and fun as well as professional. We choose the picaña skewer was good although to much fat on it almost 50% of it. However did taste good. My main problem here was that there is Only 1 bathroom for the entire place that had both men and women waiting in line for it that took away from each couple enjoying evening about 20 minutes each based on you can clearly see bathroom. From dining room.. who goes in and out and waits.. Floor was all wet sorry but this for many is a no go. This is probably weakest point. They are aware mentioned 7eleven next door has bathroom if can't wait. Another issue is Bottle of wine we had for dinner and an additional bottle we had was not same price as menu. When asked server said it is a different size this was a suprise. BUT NO MENTION ON MENU AND WHEN ORDERED. So ended up paying aprox. $45.00 more on check. Just FYI ask or be sure. All in all we did enjoy the place. Alot of people went for music and drinking. I do feel that location will and is outgrown for what they are catering to. By the way outdoor deck handles aprox. 50 guest also and has the same...
