I want to start by saying Jumpen Caribbean Cuisine is one of the best places to get a taste of Trinidad and Tobago in Orlando! Trying to find authentic Trini food in Florida is a bit hard.🇹🇹 We were in Orlando for work and just happened to pass by and LET ME TELL YOU, IT’S WORTH IT. The minute we bit into the doubles, we felt like we were back home eating on the side of the road in Trinidad. The doubles, especially, were authentic and delicious, definitely a must have from the menu. I also struggle to find quality curry goat anywhere, one of my favorites, and finally found my favorite place in the area to get it! It was perfectly cooked and tender, which is a hard thing to achieve. Not only was the food lovely, but the owners were incredible. Let’s just say they give you that Trini “Auntie and Uncle” feel lol. Even though they were very busy in the kitchen, they took some time to chat with us and make us feel at home in the restaurant. Even though dhal puri roti was not on the menu at the time, they went out of their way to make some for us, which came out beautifully! We originally came in to take food home, but got there and the restaurant was so clean and beautiful we regretted that we couldn’t stay in and eat. We can’t wait to come back and change that! It’s evident that the owners have put a lot of care and time into every part of the restaurant and it made for an all around wonderful experience. I want to say even if you are not Trini, but just visiting Orlando, give this place a chance! I promise you it will open up your palate. Thank you Calvia and Ken for sharing the culture and...

BEST home cooked meal I didn’t cook myself!!!!

I am only in Orlando for two days on business, and after several flights, and no proper meals I decided I needed to find something as close to home cooking as possible. After searching the area, getting recommendations from family and reading countless reviews, I decided to try someplace no one had been and boy…, IT DIDN’T DISAPPOINT!

I was a little bit worried when the drive seemed to go on forever, but I decided I had already made up my mind so I was going to follow through.

The restaurant is small, but clean with plenty of seating. You can tell that love went into that place. I was immediately greeted by the granddaughter of the proprietors, and she took my order and was very courteous and kind. The food was delicious! Hot! And fresh! My buss up shot was steaming and the huge portion of curry chicken with potatoes was hot, seasoned and cooked well. It wasn’t spicy but I understand they cook for every pallet. The owner brought me some pepper sauce that did the trick getting the good perfectly to my spice level.

It smelled and tasted like I cooked it myself! I finished my meal with the best slice of carrot cake I’ve ever eaten! I made sure to let them know too. It’s so good I bought a slice to take back home to my daughter.

Needless to say this is now on my places to visit every time I land at MCO. And I may start calling the owners aunty and uncle because once you eat there you feel like family.

If you haven’t tried it, please do. It’s authentic Trini cuisine. Take it from someone with...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ From the moment I walked into Jumpen Caribbean Cuisine, I knew I was in for something special. The aroma alone was enough to make my mouth water—rich, smoky, and full of promise. And the food? Absolutely unforgettable. The jerk chicken was perfectly seasoned with just the right kick, and the bake and fish was hands-down the best I’ve ever had—crispy on the outside, tender and flavorful on the inside. Every bite was a celebration of Caribbean flavor.

The atmosphere was nothing short of spectacular—colorful, lively, and filled with the warmth of Caribbean culture. It wasn’t just a meal; it felt like a mini vacation.

But what truly set this experience apart was the customer service. Ken and Calvia made me feel like family from the moment I walked in. Their genuine hospitality, kindness, and attention to detail took the experience to a whole new level. You can tell they put their heart into everything they do, and it shines through in every part of the restaurant.

Jumpen Caribbean Cuisine is more than just a place to eat—it’s a place to experience. If you're looking for authentic Caribbean food and world-class service, this is the spot. Can’t wait...

We had Curry Goat, BussUpShot Roti, Doubles, Pumpkin, Channa and Aloo, Chutney, and Cheesecake. And more . It is Fantastic, Fresh and Authentic. Calvia - Girl, you can really cook. My hub's family is Trinidad and his Grandma was a caterer in DC. So yea, if we say you should come by the Jumpen, you really should. Highly recommend. Hubby said it took him back home with his Gramma eating a nice tasty plate. Did I mention it was clean and welcoming? Ken and Calvia - certainly took care of us very well. We will be back. Prices were very reasonable, especially given the quality. Jump on by! It is🔥 and made with ❤️.
