Best Bagels & Deli — Restaurant in Knoxville

EDIT: Leaving the original review below, but I’m happy to say they seem to be back to normal with their hours!

You may still want to get there early or call ahead if there is a specific bagel you are wanting as they do sell out, but they’ve been open the last few times I’ve been. Overall I’ve definitely enjoyed the bagels I’ve gotten.

——— I don’t normally leave bad reviews but I have to agree with the other reviewers that the stated hours are not accurate. I’ve tried to go here 4 times now to be turned away by the staff every attempt because they decided to close early. On the second time I asked, “Ok I’m sorry, when do you close?” “1:45”. Next time I come back at 1:30, closed. Next time, even earlier, closed.

If you want to try to come here, for your own sake assume that the actual hours are at least two hours before when they say they close and two hours after they say they open. Otherwise you are likely just wasting...

We were driving through Knoxville and took a detour from our route to try their bagels as google reviews were good about the place. We were completely disappointed with the quality of the food there. Please note that it is a drive-through only location. Our order was ready in ~40 seconds which was suspicious. The bagels were cold and very hard and probably not fresh. Not sure how they can slice, toast, put cream cheese on and package the bagels in such short amount of time. We also ordered a muffin which tasted like the store bought and not the on-site baked. Their coffee was average and nothing to remark about. I guess they just want to sell much food as possible in a short time and with complete disregard to the food quality. Given it's a drive through only location, they know that it is unlikely that will go back and complaint about the food. We will recommend this...

Excellent bagels! We find ourselves visiting Best Bagels several times a week. Because of covid they are only open via the drive thru. The bagels are delicious! Great flavor with a nice soft inside with the perfect slight crusty outside. Bacon egg and cheese on any bagel is always fresh and delicious. Lunch sandwiches on bagel always good too. Coffee is very good but wish it was hotter and you have to put sugar and cream in coffee which is a pain to do in the car. Get there early to get your favorite bagels because they are very busy and can run out of your favorite bagel. I buy them and put them in the freezer (make sure you keep them in the brown bag they come in closed tight so no air gets in). Microwave about 28 seconds and bam delicious bagel. Sometimes I'll toast them too. The staff is always fast and very friendly....
