This is my 3rd time here. First time was during pride when they opened so I wrote it off as the bartenders were still learning and it was busy. Even though there was about 5 bartenders working with a limited menu. Second time was 4th of July on the Patio. Great service. Wasn’t busy. Third time was tonight. I watched the bartender check his phone and text after each ingredient he grabbed for a drink. I also watched him use 2 shakers to make 2 of the same drinks that I ordered. (The drink goes in a coup glass so minimal amounts). I watched the bartenders and servers watch the drag show going on instead of doing what they are there for. Our server checked on our table once when we sat down then never again. I also tipped cash when she brought our drinks. Not sure what the tip went to because it wasn’t good service. This place has great potential yet they hired some of the most careless and slow workers I’ve ever seen. I don’t know if it’s suppose to be like this due to being a 70s themed bar. Either way. It’s annoying. Even one of the owners was there and seemed more Interested in the drag show than the customers needing drinks to keep the...
Read moreWarm and well thought 70s atmosphere. Classic cocktails with innovative twists. The drinks are some of the best I’ve had in Knoxville. However, the service is TERRIBLE. If you want more than one drink an hour I would advise against Fly by Night on the weekend or when events are taking place. It took us exactly 1 hour between our first drink when we initially sat down until we had to go to the bar for another drink. Our server never came to check on our table after our first drink. On drag bingo night our server seemed more concerned with watching the show than serving us. Once we went to the bar for another drink the bartender checked his phone between every drink he made. This bar has immense potential, if the service were better. I have no idea who manages this bar or employs these bartenders, but I have had better bartenders in just about every bar...
Read moreWhat a sight this place is!! Not only am I transported straight to nostalgia, it's finally something different and fun in Knoxville. I love the design of the bar, the chairs are amazing, and pop in your favorite VHS by the couches, and watch on the wooden tube TV. We came for a friend's birthday and were greeted with the best service ever. Even the owner Joslyn was serving us! Frozen drinks, unique drinks, and watch out for that disco ball shot! The atmosphere was lively with everyone having a good time. I didn't see a table stay empty for less than 30 seconds. Staff is amazing and the manager Sarah couldn't be nicer. Icing on the cake is the wall of black velvet paintings. I will be telling everyone that I haven't already told how awesome this...
