Krystal — Restaurant in Knoxville

I don't go to Krystals often, I pretty much have to have a "craving" for it. But for the past week I'd been wanting it and finally after watching TN whoop AL's behind I was like ok let's go get some Krystals. It was around 9 so not too close to their closing time. We get there & we go through the drive thru. One car ahead of us and no one behind us. We see employees sitting out next the the building, closer to the drive thru speaker. A few are sitting and a couple are standing, so around 4/5 employees. We get up to the speaker and when asked what we wanted we said just a minute please. Well, after a lil bit of time looking, the smell of the employees cigarette smoke started coming into our vehicle, which we should have just left then because me/my dtr both have asthma but we went ahead and ordered. I got the pick 5 for $6.95, three chz Krystals and 2 small tots (because I hate the new fries they have). I asked for my Krystals without onions because I have GERD and the lady said that they come with them already on there and they would try and scrape them off! What? I have never been told that before. I was like, hmmm ok. So my husband asked about corn pups and they no longer have those. I ordered one of the new Chix. My husband orders his and we move around to the window. After we pay we sit there and for like 10 minutes we wait and watch what's going on. There were like 2 ladies inside working while the group of employees are still outside having a smoke break. Really? When I used to work in a restaurant environment the most that could go on break were 2 at a time, not 4/5 while only 2 people stayed and worked. There were a few cars that were behind us as we were waiting. Finally, right before we were handed our food the other workers came back in. We get home, no receipt in either of our bags. The food was mediocre at best, wasn't terrible but wasn't as good as I was hoping, 2/3 of mine had a few onions, what Tots I did get wasn't fresh and the new Chix was awful. The only reason it was "bigger" wasn't because of the meat, it was the extra outer part and definitely not worth $3. Probably should have just gotten McDonald's with our kids. I guess that's why I only crave Krystals every 6 months or so. It will definitely be a long while before I go back to that...

My boyfriend & I had Krystal burgers & chilly cheese fries. Both were hot, fixed neatly, fresh, & good. The store & bathrooms were fairly clean. The woman working the front however came across very rude when I approached my boyfriend while he was waiting for our food. If looks could kill I would be dead but she tried to act like she didn't look at me. We didn't have to wait for a minute. While waiting she also smirked, I suppose that's what it was, while handing him our order. She was polite with my man. When I came from the bathroom to help him he told me he was giving her a hard time. What that really is him flirting with her. I don't mind. Usually I figure it made their day or hopefully made them feel better for a minute. This was the first time I could feel her hating me, being very rude. I don't know this woman & I hope to never see her again. Sorry but I won't be back to this Krystal's. I didn't see anyone else working the front. She wasn't busy. She was probably in her late 20's or 30's. I'm awful guessing ages. But she was probably around 5'8 black female. I wish I would've seen her name. This woman needs additional customer...

I was just their and excited to get the 4.99 deal. haven't been there sense the pandemic. What I got instead, (dead in the window) waffle fries- (and theirs only two waffle fries with crumbs in a bag the size of a baby food jar)- tasted like dried up hollowed out cardboard. The coke was short filled and flat and no napkin...UNACCEPTABLE! At this point I didn't trust the two Krystal's so I turn around to get a refund. I got a refund but not without a barrage of excuses to why I shouldn't be complaining. "I been here bla bla years and never had this happen" mgr said. no apologie about why the coke was flat or any of the other concerns, what she should have said is this~ (sorry your not pleased here a voucher or meal replacement and come again). They don't do that anymore, now its all about putting the guilt trip on you. (your the problem) so so so sick of that gas lighting and for that GAS-LIGHTING!, you got a review. I also will be checking my bank to make sure I got a refund. So sad that the principle of customer service equality has...
