I should've probably left a 2 star rating, but my family and I really love McDonald's especially some of the new sandwiches. The problem is mostly late evening's because there seems to always be only 2 employees working which makes it take forever to get your food. And with only two employees working and one window that you pay and get your food from just like the old McDonald's drive-thrus it makes the drive-thru back up severely within a matter of moments. And it feels like all of this could really be remedied simply by adding one more employee and possibly keeping the second window open. A few my other complaints the service from the two employees that are working the evening shift act like they don't want to be there, are rude and act like it's a burden if you ask for extra ketchup or sauce for nuggets etc. Not to mention if you order something by accident or if an item is accidentally placed on your order by accident and you're told they can't open the drawer to refund your money. Another problem that seems to be a reoccurring problem is they seem to never have everything that goes on a hamburger for instance they're always out of lettuce or tomato or cheese never once have they not been out of at least one thing that goes on a hamburger. The final complaint I have is that it seems their shake machine or their frappe machine is never working it's an ongoing joke that the residents of Fountain City have that you cannot ever get a frappe or shake from the McDonald's in Fountain City past 2 p.m. in the evening it seems like every time. And this isn't an isolated incident this is something that has gotten worse since Covid and has never seem to get better. A lot of this seems to me like it would fall on the shoulders of your district manager and go downhill from there because a lot of it seems to stem from lack of ordering properly which I understand you can order perfect and things happen that could cause you to run low but not all the time I also feel like management has dropped the ball on some of the managers that they've hired as they same either two immature or have an attitude as if they could care less about being there and again this is the same because as I stated this was my one of my family's favorite restaurants or McDonald's restaurants at least thank you very much for your time hopefully you will look into making some of these...
Read moreI went thru the drive thru yesterday around 5 PM and order a gallon of unsweet tea. When I pulled up to the speaker to order and I was on the back speaker. It took them a few minutes to even ask me for my order which on the first speaker there was two cars that had there order taking and I still sat there waiting. When they finally asked me if my order has been taken I said no so I placed my order and drove to the first window the casher at the window was very rude because I told her that I was there before those two cars in front of me. She said that she only take orders for the other side and the person up front was supposed be taking the orders so it wasn't her fault. Then I proceeded to go to window number 2 to get my gallon of unsweet tea when I got there they didn't have unsweet tea made which they didn't tell me that they had me pull up and I would bring it out to me well it took 15 minutes and I will still waiting for them to bring out my gallon of unsweet tea. So I proceeded to turn around and go back to the second window where you pick up the food and I asked I'm still waiting on my gallon of unsweet tea the next thing I know the manager pokes his head out the window real Eiffel sister we had to make it we'll bring it out to you get out of my window so I pulled up again set another five minutes before they brought out my gallon of unsweet tea. Read moreThe drive-thru employee was short-worded, but I wasn't too bothered by it. I ordered a bottled water, but was then told that they were out. I was given a Hi-C instead which was fine, but I later noticed that the receipt still had a $0.30 upcharge for the water bottle I never got.
After getting to the 3rd window the employee running food was silent as he handed it over. I explained the upcharge situation and asked if I could just get the change back. He said nothing and walked away. He ran two or three food orders out to the parking lot, not once acknowledging me. I had no idea if he even told anyone about the upcharge.
After around 5 minutes, I went inside and talked to the manager. She told me there was bottled water in the back and I was incorrectly told they were out, then she gave me my change back. Due to all the chaos, I forgot to tell her that the food runner ignored me and didn't realize I never got my Sweet Tea until I got home. There were also no straws or napkins in the bag. The manager was nice at least, but it was unfortunate that the worker ignored me completely.
I hope to hear a response back on the situation regarding my negative experience and incorrect order, as this is the closest McDonald's to my home and I've never had a problem...
