Moe's Southwest Grill — Restaurant in Knoxville

Used to love Moe’s, but the quality has dropped lately, especially the steak. I’ve been coming to Moe’s for a long time, and one thing I always appreciated was that their steak didn’t have that chewy, fatty texture you sometimes get at other fast-casual spots like Chipotle. That’s no longer the case. The last two visits, I found myself spitting out piece after piece of steak, something I’ve never had to do here before. Out of everything I was served, I probably only ate about a third of the steak. The rest just wasn’t edible.

When I asked the staff, they confirmed they recently switched steak providers and it definitely shows. I’m not trying to bash the place, but if I’m paying extra for steak, it should be good steak. Right now, it’s not even close.

That said, the salsa bar is still one of the best around, and the ground beef tasted the same as before. I might give it one more shot, but if the steak hasn’t improved, I’ll probably be heading to Dos Bros instead. They’re consistently lean and flavorful.

Just wanted to leave this review for folks like me who used to rely on Moe’s for solid, fat-free steak. You might want to think twice if that’s a big part...

Best place to stuff your self with great hand made from scratch & cooked/grilled to perfection 🤌 natural wholesome food. The staff is amazing with how they work together to serve you with a is welcoming smile. The establishment is clean constantly. And continuously all the time when I walk in the staff really striveand work. hard to make sure you have a clean welcoming place to sit relax while enjoying your time and taste buds i even think they're better than Chipotle.Everyone should tell their friends and come on in from moe mondays to get discounts on burrithose. I’ve been to Moe’s before and it was very lively. It was also my first time, so I was very new to everything. Recently, I tried it out again and seemed like the employees were not happy. I completely understand if you’re having a bad day or it’s just been rough lately. I’m a little surprised that extra protein is $4. Personally, I think that’s a little much, but I just may be frugal. The service was lack luster. The person making my food looked annoyed that I was asking them questions about their menu. When my food was packed, the person who made my food checked me out and then walked away. I felt very awkward and uncomfortable during the time that I was just waiting to be handed my food.

Also, I forgot to take a picture before I started eating, but I got an adobo chicken burrito with black beans and veggies. It came out to about $11.

Update: I went back the next day and the staff was really nice. I didn’t feel ignored or...
