Does not value punctuality enough for my purposes.
I have been using Papa Johns to cater a regular gathering I have been hosting. The gathering opens with pizza so punctuality is important, because if the pizza is delayed then the gathering is delayed.
Today Papa Johns was 30 minutes late in getting my carryout order of 4 extra large pizzas ready, which I put in ahead of time. This meant that I had to delay the gathering by 30 minutes. Some of the attendees of my gathering had taken time off work to attend. And I ended up wasting 30 minutes of their time because of Papa John's mistake.
For this, Papa Johns gave me something like $20 off my $62 order. I don't so much want money as I want the wasted time back for the attendees of my gathering. But the fact that Papa Johns charged me anything at all indicates a degree of shamelessness about being unpunctual. They gave a partial refund instead of a full refund, because they did not want to take full responsibility for their mistake. I understand that mistakes happen, but if one is unwilling to take full responsibility for their mistake, this indicates some willingness to make the same mistake again. I mean, they can't afford to give a full refund every time they make the pizza 30 minutes late, because it must be a mistake they make frequently enough that they would be out of business if they gave a full refund every time they did this.
For the purposes of my gathering I do not want for the pizza to be 30 minutes late again, which is why I am going to be taking a break from Papa Johns, and give Marco's or Domino's a try the next time the...
Read moreIf I could give this place negative stars I would. After two hours waiting for my pizza I call Papa John's. I ask for the manager and I am put on hold for 4 minutes. Degan answers. I asked if he was the manager and he said yes. I asked why I had not received my pizza he tells me that they do not deliver to my apartment complex any more. I asked why they had taken the money for the delivery out of our account forty five minutes after I called the order in. He said they had tried to call me and the delivery person tried too. My phone did not show any phones calls after I called in my order except one that I had received from my daughter. But I realized he was not the manager. I was put on hold for twenty minutes waiting for Curtis Taylor who said that he was the store manager. He had no answers for me other than the fact that they had still not voided the order to return the money to me. The service us terrible. They flat out lied about calling me '" several times". And three hours later I still do not have my money. It doesn't help that I am a diabetic and had taken my insulin shot in anticipation of the delivery. Curtis never once apologized about any of their mistakes. All he had to say is that the person that took the order must be new. I will never order Papa John's. Clinton Hwy store number 420 Knoxville TN. I'm not posting this because I didn't get any pizza delivered tonite. I have gotten way past that. I posted this to let everybody make their own choices on using this particular store location...they are dishonest and their service just...
Read moreReceived alert pizza ready for pickup. Drove to location's drive-thru. Waited 5 min, honked my horn before anyone came over. Gave name, they went to look for my order. In meantime, I turned my car off to wait and was looking at my phone. Some guy got out of his vehicle, came over to my car and told me to get OFF my phone. I said what, so he said it again. He said he had nearly been hit going into employee door which was just ahead of my car on left. I told him my car was off and that I was not gonna get off my phone. He went into employee door. Then someone came back to drive-thru window and said they couldn't find my order. I showed them my text from Papa John's that said my order was ready 20 min ago. Employee said they would remake my order and aaked me to pull in front and they would bring order out to me. I told them what delivery driver had said to me, to get OFF my phone. No one offered to make it a large, it was medium. No one said it was free. No one did anything to make my visit any better. This was the WORST customer service from employee waiting on me, to cook who gave my pizza to someone else, to Papa John's delivery driver telling me to get off my phone. Why would I ever want to get pizza from Papa John's again? I wouldn't, I won't. Why was I texted pizza ready when it wasn't ready. Took me 20m after getting text to get there and it still wasn't ready. Pitiful....
