Waffle House — Restaurant in Knoxville

Let me tell you about my night. Arrived everything was great. Ordered our food.. the cook smh if that's what you want to call him was in the weeds bad with the other table that was there. The only other table in there. . Ok cool.. so our order comes up he dropped the 5 orders of hasbrowns and bacon. He pushes all but one in a little tray in front of him they was brunt.. bacon brunt but put in a plate.. started two small pans of eggs threw them away.. started two more then picked out egg shells in that one. Put in pan let sit. Then tried to flip them and most of them went underneath the pan still cooked them.. then put alittle on one plate and aliitle on another. Made cheesesteak. Scraped it into the other burnt food and started over. Cool. Food came to our four top one plate at a time about 2 or 3 mins apart. I was the last to receive my food and got one item at a time. My child ate one bite of her eggs and ate egg shells. I asked the red head if she could get more and she stopped and looked at me like she had something else to say then smiled real big and walked off. Yeah she had an attitude bad. We didn't eat any of the food. Hashbrowns was brunt, bacon burnt, biscuit brunt, my eggs which should have been runny was 100 %done. Not what I asked for. So I told our server when she came over to ask us if we needed boxes for the food we haven't touch. I told her my concerns and she said don't worry about it, you can go. .. I am a kitchen manager so you probably know how I was feeling about right now.. we just got up and left.. worst dinning experience I've ever had.. won't be returning to...

I have gone every single day the past few weeks, exact same time early in the morning. The redhead girl who works there is extremely nice, doesn't take her time and gets everything done in a decent amount of time. She took the time to talk to me to make sure she got the waffle how I wanted it, and has continued to make it the correct way since. She is the only reason I'd consider going back.

On the other hand, the blonde girl and the brunette girl when they work together, they take their time and over cook what I order. They seem to intentionally slack off and not be professional. When I went in last, their cook for burgers and meats was nowhere to be found. Eventually they figured out he was in the restroom. All the blonde girl did was figure out where he was, as she did not let him know he was needed to cook. When they were bickering back and forth about whose turn it was to go find him, the blonde girl was being whiny and complaining about having to go do that.

I left immediately after, as I was there to get the food I needed and go, not be waiting around while my blood sugar continued to drop. As a Type 2 Diabetic, I would go to Waffle House specifically for the speed of service and the quality of the food.

I have been in at least once before when the restaurant was packed and I was told it would be a little bit. I patiently waited and waited, just to find out they completely forgot about me.

At the very least, the people who work there should act like adults, not...

My sister- in- law, my great-great grandson and I went this morning (11 am) for breakfast We wanted a table, was asked if we wanted the small 4top at end of counter No thank you Folks got up from a booth and my SIL cleaned the table so we could eat,,,,I played $5 worth of jukebox, another couple came in and decided to sit at the counter Our table is clean and we are waiting Another couple came in and sat at the "small 4 top at end of counter" Another booth left..... Still waiting, she took the order of the 1st couple to come in behind us Waiting some more,,, between cleaning the table she got the 2nd couples order My SIL raising her arm to flag her, explained we were there first EXPLAINS, we are short a cook so had to give up a waitress TO cook What would we like?? She only took our drink orders and went to the 3rd folks booth Delivered food to the 2 couples who came in behind us and gave the 3rd folks their drink order We get up to leave and she starts again with having to give up a waitress to cook We are on the 10th song on the jukebox (roughly 30 minutes) Tired of your excuses, we haven't gotten our DRINKS, My cash and debit card spend everywhere Anytime we see he waiting tables we will leave and go elsewhere Yes I am PISSED but still got my breakfast at Cracker Barrel and treated FAIRLY Thank you 2 seventy year old ladies and 1 six...
