Wish I could give it 0 stars. I've had an absolutely miserable experience every single time I've shopped here and today will be my last. They've refused to accept returns even with items in perfect condition and with the receipts, I've been completely ignored at the custom framing counter for 20 mins, hanged up on after being transferred multiple times and having to explain what I want over and over again on the phone, and treated rudely by employees on every visit.
Most recently I needed one item and had downloaded the Hobby Lobby app on my phone. At the register I realized I had left my phone at home. I told the cashier the situation and she refused to give me the discount, saying that she had to see it or she would get in trouble. I never would have bought it for the regular price but I had to have it today. They didn't even have what I really needed in stock to begin with. She consoled me that if I hang on the the receipt and come back with my phone, they would refund me, which I seriously doubt and is pointless anyway for what it costs me in gas to even drive to the store. Aside from that, their products are low quality, overpriced, and poorly organized in the store.
Side note- I currently work in retail for a major corporation and have also worked at an art supply store and would never treat my customers like this. I couldn't because I...
Read moreI enjoy a walk through hobby lobby and they have some interesting art pieces here and there and there are some good prices on like the paint sets but some of the things I find grossly overpriced and especially on the accent type furniture they have I was in the furniture business in Vietnam. And I know furniture very well the quality of the pieces they have MDF some acacia fibroboard side panels on much of it it's like they'll have a piece priced at $295 that really it should be price somewhere 100 will be all over it when I know the wholesale cost on it was about 25. I did buy some paint sets one year for my son and niece and grandson for Christmas and they were a good value but overall it just seems to be grossly overpriced. They do merchandise very well the way they display product and as I said they have some nice looking art pieces but nothing special. I do find the associates to be very nice and helpful so I'm not saying it's a bad company I'm just saying it's not for me I guess if I were a crafter or a serious artist I would probably go there because they do have about every kind of art supply and craft supply and hobby supply that...
Read moreTo the store manager of Hobby Lobby on Clinton Hwy....you need to train or fire a young cashier who was working last Friday around 12:30p. I approached her as she was not helping anyone, asked her where I could a certain item and she responded with I don't really know, asked me if I thought it would be in a certain area to which I respond I don't work here and that's why I'm asking. She then tells me to ask another staff and they took a guess. I was able to find my item, came back to the original cashier now deep in conversation with another staff during the entire check out process, threw my items in a bag to which I promptly pulled them out to wrap myself because the are metal and can scratch, and placed back in the bag myself. She never stopped talking to her coworker the entire time and never attempted to help with the bagging. So rude and disrespectful. I'm not there to listen to her last weekend events while I'm shopping for something specific. She needs a lesson in customer service and...
