As much as I want to give this location 5 stars, I rate it a 4 based on 2 factors that likely may not even apply at other locations or visits. First let me say the service was absolutely fine, easy 5 stars there. The inside atmosphere was great and food quality was excellent as well; 5 stars for speed of delivery, we'd hadn't evensat down from ordering (meals for 4) and fixing our fountain drinks before our piping hot food was delivered to our table. The lost start for this visit may partly be my own ignorance of Knoxville and partly a rare fluke even. Problem one: I found the parking to be pretty difficult here. There was a garage nearby but upon entering I realized (countless very inviting signs) that those spaces were not intended for anyone other than patrons of other businesses not including Raising Cane's, and Tow Away warnings were posted if we were to do so anyway. I then circled all the way back around and found a parking lot just down from RC's, but had to pay the minimum fee of something like $10 to park for up to 2 hours. Problem two: As minor as it may seem to most, as it honestly was very minor to me, I did find a pretty large bone in one of my 4 tenders. Now, I'm a meat eater and eat around bones routinely but it's generally not expected in tenders and it was at least an inche or more long...an easy choking hazard for a kid or really for anyone just not paying attention. I hesitated to mention this, and may edit it out if future experiences prove this to be a completely rare fluke. Just fyi, in case it's more common than I'd like to believe it is. I will say that between the 4 of us dining on this visit, we consumed 14 tenders and that was the only bone found. I would definitely return to Raising Cane's, the chicken tenders were delicious and the House Sauce was great with them as well.

The first RC I went to was in Las Vegas and all the others have been in CA. Was nice to find one in TN but hopefully they will build one closer to Johnson City. Not sure but seems like it is in the middle of student housing. I was the only person over 20. Parking was very difficult and not free from what I seen. Was 17 dollars to park next door but found a meter on the street behind it that is free past 6 so parked there. Food was as good as any other location and was good to have a bit of what I left behind here in TN

First time eating at a Raising Canes. Great food and great service. Was very fast too. Edit: have to change the review. Visited a second time on 5.21.24 and you can tell the standards dropped since 2 weeks ago. At first corporate was in town so everything was top tier and perfect. Within 5 seconds a table was cleaned. Last night all the empty tables were dirty, nobody came around and asked us for anything, and ketchup was empty. Food was still hot and good though.

9:30pm on a Sunday

I ordered a three piece chicken combo for dine in / for here… to eat at the sit down location within the building.

My order got called out as a to go order when the receipt clearly said dine in. I was given a to go bag Styrofoam container.

When I questioned the person handing out the orders saying that that’s my name, but my order is for here their response was we are out of trays. I’m confused because it was 9:30 PM. There was only four or five other people sitting down eating. All of the people sitting down eating or eating out of Styrofoam trays to go trays. Nobody had actual physical trays.

Maybe there is a malfunction with their dishwasher or they have a water problem where they cannot wash dishes or maybe the night management is too lazy to hand out trays… who knows?

When I sat down and opened the Styrofoam container, the chicken three piece was normal as expected, but the fries portion was extremely small portion was equivalent to a kids meal sized McDonald’s fry portion.

Paying $10 for this three-piece meal I got is pretty ridiculous. The value of what I received was probably only worth $4 to $6 dollars. Portions were equivalent to a kids meal at an another fast food franchise like Chick-fil-A or McDonald’s.

Definitely will not be coming back here. Portions are pretty small, pretty ridiculous. if I am going to spend $10 for a meal I’m going to go to somewhere better… lots of better options in the area within walking distance.

Unfortunately, Google does not allow users to place a 0 star review if I...

Raising Cane's is a great place if you want large portions and fresh food. The prices seem to be on par with other similar restaurants, but the quality is above. The tenders are much larger than competitors, but don't expect too much flavor (spices). The fries are crinkle and are almost always under salted for those who don't care for salty foods. There is a regular drink machine with Dr pepper and coke products, sweet tea (in the dining area), and also lemonade (behind the counter). Cane's sauce is a addicting and seems to be what they're known for the most. The dining area has great decoration and they even have merch for purchase. The only downfall is that it is very small with limited seating inside the restaurant. With it being on UT campus and in the downtown area it can be very crowded at times. They are still pretty quick with serving hot fresh food. Raising Cane's used to be across the street in a larger building, but at least this new building has some kind of parking in the garage within the building structure. There is wonderful customer service. They gladly substitute toast, fries, or coleslaw options in/out for what you want upon ordering. Ordering ahead online is available, but there may be something wonky when substituting out all sides for toast. The employees were glad to help resolve the issue. This is a go to place for me and my significant other who is extremely particular...
