Me and my husband eat dinner at smokey Mountain brew yesterday for dinner . First time eatting there. Food was really good. But the food wasn't the problem. It was our bill. After we finish eatting the waitress brought our receipt we decide. To go half on the bill The bill was for $61.94 And my husband paid $30.97 and I paid $30.97 and the waitress brought the receipt to the table for both of us to sign them. And we took our receipt and we left the Merchant copy on the table and also left the bill. Copy on the table. And we left. So today I look into my checking account. And I notice that the waitress charge my credit card for the full amount of $61.94. And charge my husband the right amount $30,97. So why did she charge my credit card twice for the full price for our meal I don't know. Because she brought us both receipt in the amount of $30.97 So she got double payment of total amount of $90.00. So I tried calling smokey Mountain brew. A young girl answer and I ask to speak to a manager so I waited. No one pick up. So I hung up the phone and called back again. Young girl answer. And again I ask to speak to manager. She put me on hold. I waited again. No one pick up. So I waited and hung up the phone. Again call for a third time. This time the phone just rang. No one answer. So I had to call my bank and dispute the charge. On my credit card that the waitress overcharge me twice for our food. I told my husband about it. He said to himself he don't how she was able to charge my credit card and bring our receipt to the table with the Right receipt. But the worng charge on my credit card. If this waitress is doing this she is getting over on people credit card. if you don’t check your bank account then you will be charged double. I will not be going back to this location no more. The waitresses there didn't seem to friendly. This as never happen to me before. So if you ever go there make sure you check your bank account. Please so this want Ever...
Read moreMy fiancé and I work in the industry as well, also have worked for copper cellar. We do not leave reviews, but no one should get this bad of service. I understand coming into a restaurant late and the server being upset because they have side work to close down, but we came in at least a half hour before the kitchen closed. We had just gotten out of our restaurant, if we were not sat in the closing section maybe the fault is there. Now for the experience, during the greet we learned our server was upset which is fine we all have bad days. We were ready to order right away to make things easier and faster, our boneless wings and cheesy bread appetizer was completely forgotten and we just bit the bullet, our food comes shortly, as expected with end of night food it is not cooked well. The nachos were completely awful, (which we normally love) the kickback burger has no ltop the sauce requested on the side was not there. At this point still would never leave a review, if there was some care provided at all. The server does not check on the food until the burger is done the nachos weren’t touched we explain they were not good. She takes them and asks if she can get us anything else so she does at least do that. But the I don’t care factor is just ridiculous. At the end of this all the bill is exchanged and we still left a fat tip to try and either make a day better or at least maybe get some sign of life from her, just nothing. The review is so maybe she can make sure an experience like this doesn’t happen again. If we didn’t work in the field I’d completely rule out this place as a spot to eat. And I’ll only use her first initial “E” so if this is seen hopefully it can be a tool to help her make sure no one experiences this without putting her on full blast...
Read moreThis may be the saddest experience of any restaurant my family and I have visited. First, my party of four walk in and between two hosts that were not seating others, it took a minute for them to even acknowledge us. They explained that the high seating table closer to the bar were open seating but we requested a table instead. The high seating tables were all dirty and not cleaned off anyway so not sure why they didn't check that before offering.
Took a few minutes to get seated. Afterwards, we wait nearly 20 minutes before a waitress even asks us for our drink orders. The sweet tea my son and I had tasted like a strong sweet chemical. We returned the teas and got a different beverage instead. After a few sips I notice there was still a strong chemical taste. Then I noticed a white gritty like substance stuck to the inside of the cup. Obviously no regard to someone else's health. (pic included)
Food was below par. Burgers were dry. My son got the Philly Cheese Steak on gluten free roll. Wasn't even a roll. It was two very dense potato burger buns and it was obvious they had been around longer than the "USE BY" date. They were not even edible.
They messed up my younger sons pizza but they did make him the correct one but it took so long and we had been there for over an hour already that we just ended up taking the pizza to go.
All in all, we've decided that due to the experience we've had with the last few Cooper Cellar owned restaurants, we just can't waste our time or money. It's not worth the hassle or the risk. Better luck to...
