Not impressed. We visited for the first time on a hot Saturday (93°, felt like 107°) around 4:00 PM. The first thing we noticed was that many of the gelato pans were overflowing with melted product- maybe the cooler couldn’t keep up with the extreme heat?
Secondly: this is most certainly not the usual gelato fare. The texture was icy and crystallized, lacking the thick, silky smoothness typical of good gelato. The flavors were just okay.. not bad, but nothing I’d go out of my way for. It was also a bit odd to be limited to just three taste tests.
Lastly, the portion size felt quite small for the price. Based on photos from other reviews, it seems like we may have received less than usual, perhaps depending on who was serving.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place. There are better options for cold desserts...
Read moreThis place was absolutely horrendous. First of all, not only was the gelato severely overpriced, but was also bland. This “gelato” shame its own name as it is not nearly as rich and complex as real gelato. If anything, the soft serve from Cruz farms is closer to any real gelato than this fake impersonation of ice cream, it is merely sugar paste that pleases the pallets of those without them. Additionally, the staff was unnecessarily, rude and condescending. Do not come here. There are better option to save your money. Please listen to me. If I could put zero stars I would. Absolute waste of space downtown. Any fast food chain would put out...
Read moreGreat price, amazing taste, and awesome owner! We are definitely going to bring friends and family back to taste it.
My wife and I were hoping to find some good gelato somewhere close, and we happily stumbled upon Tesoro Gelato. It is in a great part of town with other fun places to see all around. This cute little shop would be the perfect place to visit before or after a baseball game since it is so close to the stadium.
We loved the ability to try the flavors before choosing. The serving sizes seems like a good size, and the owner was so nice to talk to. To top off the experience, we walked outside to see a train crossing...
