The evening of February 10th 2023 my wife and I went to dinner at Outback Steakhouse. We arrived around 6-630 and were promptly seated as soon as we entered. We ordered drinks and an appetizer. Shortly after we ordered our entrees. Our waitress was pleasant and timely even while having a trainee. Drinks and bread arrived and shortly thereafter our appetizer. Everything was delicious as expected thus far. It was a bit of a wait to receive our entrees, but during the dinner rush on a Friday evening it was very acceptable. The issue then came with my Medium grilled Center cut sirloin. (I was unable to cut into it before our waitress arrived and asked how the entrees were). My steak was very very rare. While looking for our waitress my wife was able to finish her entree and I finished my sides. The waitress had then arrived and again asked how everything was and I showed her my very very rare steak. She offered to have a new one cooked, however I was no longer hungry. I asked for the steak to simply be comped. She agreed and I expected the check. A few minutes later the owner Mr. Louis Hayes arrived at our table and insisted I let them cook another steak to take home. I complied. Louis then had a FREE dessert brought to our table as we waited for the steak to be cooked. The staff was impeccable. Louis is a stand up business owner and one I will be more than happy to spend money with for many meals to come. Read moreThe service was a little slow but I think they were short of staff. We had a great server but I believe she was also helping out in the kitchen. I give her credit for that. We didn't get a visit from the manager like usual. I big red flag was there was NO HAND SOAP in the restroom. I spoke to our waitress twice she told them 3 times before me that the women's bathroom was without soap. I told her just give it to me and I would put it in there. She came back and said there was no soap in the whole place except for "the soap for them" . But they were trying to figure out how they could put it in a "container " . I told her it was nasty that there was no soap and couldn't they just put some dish washing soap in there?. She told me it must be a "certain" grade of soap so they couldn't do that. I said dish soap was better than "No soap ". That sure didn't make sense. By the way right next door in the parking lot someone could have went into the gas station convenient store to get one bottle of soft soap and actually target is right behind the restaurant. I don't blame the waitress at all but the manager could have went or they could have sent the bus boy across the lot to buy it. Its not the bus boy responsibility either but management. Lucky I had hand sanitizer in my purse. Water doesn't kill germs in a bathroom with out soap. The health department should school this manager. I told them to even put soap in and old ketchup...
Read moreWe were not thrilled with our experience here. We went in and were greeted with numerous signs regarding the pandemic. We step up to the podium to be seated and had to wait a few minutes, and it wasn't busy. Finally, the hostess came over, didn't greet us.. just said, 'how many?' then let us know it would be a 15 min wait and we needed to wait outside. We look around and there are maybe 2 booths with people in them. So we go out and wait anyway. We get the text to come in and be seated. Sit at a booth, right behind someone else, and wait for our server. We waited for our server at least 10-15 minutes. He took our drink order, we ordered a Coke, water and a cocktail. The Coke and water came, the cocktail was about 10 minutes later. Again, on our side of the restaurant there was us, a booth with 2 people and a booth with 1 person. A total of 5 people. Why the wait?? Our food came timely and was ok. Warm, not hot. No seasoning on the steaks. The veggies were awesome. We asked our server what was going on with the wait, the empty seats(sectioned off for covid still, and waitstaff still wearing masks) and he had no clue why we were told to wait. He said he didn't know why they were still wearing masks there or why the seats were all closed off. Very disappointed on our anniversary dinner. Can't see us returning. We walked out and the host at the desk said nothing to us either....
