Panda Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Kokomo

The woman that works at the cashier unfortunately doesn't speak English well to understand the sanitary customs in America. In China, a lot of food is actually recycled and have a higher than average probability of containing trace chemicals that the FDA/Sanitation Inspector would deem grade F. I have spoken to her regarding the quality of life here is much different than her home country, as she is now aware of the circumstances.

The vents have to be properly maintained and while cleaning, the restaurant woks are flipped upside down (so you see a dome instead of a normal wok in cooking). There is usually nothing in the woks during closing/cleaning and the woks are cleaned/scrubbed with stainless iron wire sponges which probably has an infinitely higher chance of leaving a residue than the actual 'residue' that would be collected due to cleaning the vents.

I hope you can understand Panda is a competing fast food restaurant: this means the food will be cheap vs getting P.F. Chang's or some 3 star eatery. All in all, I would suggest raising your concerns with management... the woman is not the manager but the assistant manager.

Food as always delicious 😋 we moved to Indiana in '97 1st place we ever ate at & have been going back ever since. Nothing has changed still as delicious. We live in logansport now & still make the drive 🚗. Sorry no pics too share my family loves panda so as soon as we get home everyone dives in. I can say this about service this is a family owned & run service & the younger generation will not put up with the disrespect of anyone that comes in with an Attitude especially Towards the elders working, like I said I've been coming here since '97 & I don't blame them for not putting up with the disrespect that some people can have towards others. This hole in the wall take out option is one of Kokomo's hidden gems. Panda has been at this location for several decades, and the food they serve is the obvious reason behind their continued success. While dine in is an option, seating is incredibly limited, there are only four or five seats total in the establishment. However, the food is well worth your wait if you have a few moments to spare. The menu options put panda express to shame in the number of options, quantity, and quality. High marks to the atmosphere come from how a fast paced take out joint could be made to feel like you are stepping into someone's home.
