If I could give zero stars I would. I've been a loyal shopper at Meijer for the past twenty years. Once upon a time, you could go in and the shelves would already be stocked, and they rarely moved the items around once they figured out where they wanted them. These days, like this morning, we go in and the shelves aren't stocked, employees in the way, once again, and certain items are moved around to another location. I know there is a purpose for this, but it doesn't jibe with me. Once you have an item in a specific location...KEEP IT THERE!!! This is the last time I shop at the Kokomo Meijer store. I'm done. If you other people enjoy searching the store for the regular items you buy, only to find they've been moved, by all means shop there. I'll be doing my shopping at Kroger from now on. At least I know they dont move the items around to different locations on a monthly basis, just to make you walk around the store. Also, Kroger is a lot cleaner, and better organized. They may be just little more expensive, but it's worth it knowing that the items are always pretty much in the same place. Peace out.
UPDATE: I am proud to say that Meijer has done a lot of remodeling inside. It's better organized, and looks completely different....wait for it.....Welcome to Wal-Mart Jr. Yes, walking in the first thing that comes to mind...am I in the wrong store? It looks very very similar to Wal-Mart. So if you like Wal-Mart, but don't want to deal with the strange goings on in there, come on over to...
Read moreMy wife carries a small back pack for our 2 year old son with a developmental delay. He is prone to "behaviors" and needs extra care, so my wife has items to help.
Can't really discipline him in public. Any way they followed her around pharmacy while I waited in line. She was completely oblivious to this, but I could see what was going on. I have a retail background, and know their tactics.
Anyway, I get my prescription, and meet me my wife in the middle of the isle where the people could not see us. I whispered to my wife "you're being followed". She doesn't care and doesn't notice. So I ask her "want to have some fun, because I can prove that you are being followed." She nods with a curious look.
I reached in my pocket and pulled out an empty bottle of "Mio Energy" water enhancer. Then walked out of the isle where the managers could see me. I shook the bottle in my hand and put it in my pocket. As soon as I did that I hear "loss prevention code seven" over the store monitor.
Well I knew that was a bluff because the loss prevention guy doesn't come in til 10:30 it was 9. It was a scare tactic (we did it at Target). After a while I of being blatantly followed.
I approached the guy, and said "Please stop following me!" All he said was the company line "can I help you find something" so again and again we repeated ourselves.Til finally he told me I was threatening him and needed to leave and never come back, or I would have a...

I told her first thing that I had my receipt and perks receipt and she told me she had to have the tag... when I told her to get the manager and he came up there she miraculously able to use the receipt that I have her... There was a girl in line behind me that was being very disrespectful to me as well and I suspect that she was an employee or a friend of the girl at the desk. She was not asked to leave even though she was yelling at me ... defending the girl at the desk. This isn't the first time that I've dealt with the girl at the desk... she was on a register once when I was cashing out and was completely rude ... I gave her a bad rating on the survey that is on the credit card machine and I never do that unless they are horrible to me. I felt like I was at Walmart... this is why I do not shop at Walmart! I was going to spend more money after my return ...my daughter was already shopping in the store waiting on me and I called her and told her to meet me at the car and to not buy anything at Meijer... We then went to Kroger and spent our money! I shop at Meijer sometimes 10 times a week but will not spend my money at an establishment the treats...
