Normally I would always give HL 5 stars, however this particular site seems to be understaffed. If this had only happened once or twice I would have thought nothing of it, but after shopping here 4 times in the past 2 weeks I base this on 3 instances with each visit the same- first, was hard to find an associate to help me locate an item without walking from one side of the store to the other before locating someone who could only tell me to look in the same area that I'd just spent 20 minutes going up and down the aisles of that area. Secondly, they did not have in stock several items that showed on website were on the spring sale flyer. I did ask the person at the checkout about the availability of sale items and was told that they receive their shipments on Mondays, and since it was mid-week on that particular visit I just chalked it up to the fact that they had probably sold out, so I returned the following Monday, in the early afternoon, only to find that the items were still unavailable, not sure if they had enough people to put stock on the shelves or not, so I made another trip in 2 days later and still found that the items had not been stocked. And lastly, on all 4 visits there was only 2 associates working at the check out and 1 was strictly for returns and the wait time was a little over 10 minutes every time of day that I went in. Other people in line were making comments that it was always like that, but up until recently I had not waited more than 5 minutes. I should also add that on average, I'm usually shopping there at least an hour because there are so many amazing craft supplies to go through and can almost always find something to gift for that hard-to-buy for person, therefore access to guest restrooms is often a necessity. I had only noticed the restrooms by the staff break room but because I did not see any clear signage, I thought they were for staff only, on last visit I was told otherwise. I will continue to support this store, and if circumstances improve, will give a higher...
Read moreon 9 / 18 / 2018 today at hobby lobby in kokomo, indiana i had found what i needed and was ready to buy so headed for the cashier to ring out. the line had five people in it and each of them had shopping carts full. the lady in charge of the cashiers called for another cashier. i thought if they open up another register, i want to be the one in that line. granted i had one item to buy i asked which lane was opening up so i could get in that lane. the lady would not answer me except to say that if another cashier opened up, the customers in the first line would be next in line for the newly opened lane. she was very very rude to me. as if that weren't bad enough, the first cashier moved at a snails pace and had no sense of urgency whatsoever and that line was backing up with customers. a lady standing in the slow line was gracious and offered me a spot in front of her. the cashier in that lane was deliberately moving slow and when i wanted to ring out she slowed down even more slow. she did not smile but most of all she and the lady in charge of cashiers had one of the worst attitudes i've ever encountered. they acted as if you were bothering them to have to purchase and ring out someone. this makes the second time i've had a bad encounter at this location in kokomo. they really need to work on their attitudes and customer service the most. ...
Read moreOverall it's a cool coming here . I had a not so pleasant experience the other day however. I had my daughter purchase some chairs for me a few days prior to me picking them up because they wouldn't fit in her car. I picked them up a few days later , went to counter receipt and I.d in hand. The lady checked my and then proceeded to call ito the back to retrieve my chairs. She explained that I was doin a late pickup and that I already purchased the chairs but needed them to bring them from the back to me. The man came out and explained to me that he couldn't find the chairs and that he would look upfront, so we did and located the chairs. As Im picking them up he says " Did you pay for them? "" I said "Yes" then he proceeded to bend down and look at my receipt as I was holding it and then said ok. Firstly...why bother asking me if you aren't going to trust my answer and secondly...YOU KNOW I PAID FOR IT!! I HEARD HER TELL YOU OVER THE PHONE!!!! You wouldn't even be necessary had I not...paid already...it's the God in me that kept me and is continuing to keep me from RUNNING up on you because quite frankily I am gettin real sick of this kind of treatment. I was right there when she already told you I PAID FIR...
