I'm not a huge fast food person, so if I'm stopping in at a fast food, that's what I'm expecting, fast food! I've only eaten here twice. Unfortunately, each time my order was missing items and/or contained the wrong items. The first time, I used the outside pull in service. the initial wait time for service was around 10 minutes & food arrived about 15 minutes after I ordered it. Again, it wasn't correct. I had to contact them to get the food they left off & let them know it I didn't order a soda, I ordered tea. They apologized & 10 minutes later, they brought me a tea & the sandwich they left out. This time, we went inside & waited at least 15 minutes or more, then the employee who was sitting in the dining room on break, went to the back & let them know they had customers up front. Even though you can easily hear the door buzzers go off throughout the store when you walk in to announce customers. She came back out & said someone would be worth us soon. About 5 minutes after that someone came out & took our order. Then, 15 minutes later, they brought it out. It was missing a sandwich & syrup for the French Toast. Again, we had a devil of a time getting someone's attention in the back to correct the order. Once we finally did & we told them what the issue was, they corrected it. But 3 of us didn't have syrup until they brought out the new sandwich, so by then, our French Toast stripes were cold. The food was really good when it was warm, but after the wait, not so much so. As a side note here, I know that places are struggling to get good help these days & I really don't like having to mess up reputations over bad service, but when it's a constant issue & have to wonder if there isn't other...
Read moreMy family and I arrived at this Sonic at 9:26pm to order some food. We were informed that we could not get all of the items we were going to order due to the grill already being cleaned and down for the night. The lady stated this was due to them about to close. Not knowing what time Sonic closed, we assumed they closed at 9:30pm since we pulled in at 9:26pm. I could understand that, but as we pulled away not ordering anything we asked an employee outside what time they closed. She informed us they closed at 10:00pm. I have worked at fast food restaurants in the past and we were never able to close things down limiting the menu options prior to when we actual closed. It is unacceptable to close the grill down for cleaning 30 plus minutes prior to actual closing time. I have never submitted a complaint like this, but this encounter really upset me. How can you close the grill down prior to closing limiting what the customers are able to order? I used to work closing shifts and we were never allowed to do this. Regardless if the customer came through 30 minutes prior to closing or 1 minute prior to closing. Closing times are listed for a reason. I understand wanting to get out of work at a reasonable time, but closing things down prior to closing is unacceptable. Read moreI typically don’t write reviews but I’m honestly appalled at what just happened. I stopped at the Kokomo sonic for $1.99 plain quarter pound double cheeseburger. There were no other vehicles in drive thru, I ordered quickly and paid at 6:35pm. I thought it was odd the teenager handed me back my card and receipt and told me to have a nice night, then appeared as though he removed his drawer to end his night. I did not have my food at this time but wasn’t concerned, so I waited. And waited. A group of teens were horseplaying, no biggie, but no one would look at me. This group disappeared for a bit, perhaps to the front dining area. Several minutes passed and they all came back, one girl looked at me and yelled to her coworkers asking what I was waiting on. She opened the window and rudely asked what I was waiting for. I told her, she closed the door and yelled asking how long it would take. At this point it’s been 8 minutes since I paid for my food. She messed with a screen and flirted, playing grabby hands with a boy walking past her. My sandwich was handed to her then shoved out the door at me at 6:44pm. No apology, no explanation, no have a good night. No eye contact. What happened to customer service? I will never be back after being treated like an inconvenience.
