Tommyboy's Pizza and Cafe — Restaurant in Kutztown

I can't give Tommy Boys any stars my opinion. Their accuracy of the orders when delivered has gone down hill in the course of the year. When you order over the phone they can't hear you correctly you have to repeat the order several times for them to remotely hear you. Wait time is horrendous. Time table for completion of order is stated for a certain time but completion and delivery is way past expectancy.

One time my family ordered and didn't receive the order what so ever. So we contacted Tommy Boys and asked where our order was and they never made it. They misplaced the order. Mind you we waited 2 hours later to give them a time cushion because they take so long to make and deliver the food in the first place. So what was the compensation for this huge error. A free pizza.!!!! No refund on our order!!!! Our order was more than three pizzas are combined!!! No free order that was comparative to what we ordered in the first place or even half off. Not to mention the prices have sky rocketed and the menus has now been severely cut in half. They got rid of the wraps which they mildly mess up and i really liked.

What triggered my frustrated fueled review is I tried airing my concern with this establishment and was talked over by manager. Enough is enough no more Tommy Boys for me. Hope everyone else has had a better experience that I have had.

UPDATE: Tommy, the owner saw my review and called asking if he could make us another pie tonight, for free. Wow!! We ate our Sicilian pizza (which was HUGE, and we were unable to finish) so did not need another pizza tonight. He then offered us another free pizza the next time we ordered, a thin crust pie. He also offered to even make it thinner if we wanted. That is truly AMAZING customer service, some of the best customer experience I have experienced in a long time. We ate the Sicilian pizza. Although, we didn't like the thick crust (personal preference) the toppings were fresh and plentiful and great flavors in the sauce. Nice to find a spot that knows how to cook and season their food. The food was good even though not our personal taste we will be back for a thin crust pie. They delivered the pizza to our house which is pretty far away. Also, the delivery driver was kind.

Original Review: Tried Tommy Boys for the first time. Unfortunately I think we ordered the wrong pizza. We ordered the Sicilian not knowing it was a thick crust/deep dish type (uneducated guess). So for us it was too much crust. Might try again with a different crust. Maybe a slice or...

I like to think of myself a connoisseur of foods. I eat from a variety of cuisines including Indian, Grecian, French, African, Thai and many more. I also cook myself and thus I am sensitive to food and flavor.

I can finally say, after eating at Tommyboy's Pizza for two years, that there is no other place in the city of Kutztown and the areas surrounding that will serve you such CONSISTENTLY delicious, fresh made, and scrumptious food.

And it's not just their pizza. They use REAL cheese. This means that the flavor pops continually before you even have time to savor the fresh vegetables. We got a Stromboli from a local place and were disgusted by how much cheese that Stromboli had. I ordered the same exact Veggie Stromboli from Tommyboy's and I could not believe how flavorful and precise it was made.

Every other place in this region is only a reflection of pizza and Italian cuisine. This is the real deal and they rival even Pizza shops in...
