Animal House of La Crosse — Restaurant in La Crosse

In my opinion the place is a rip off. If you must attend this establishment, I recommend watching the bartenders as they pour, since I noticed they kept looking to see if people were watching while they did it. If you don’t pay attention you could basically get charged for the liqueur with no alcohol. Friday night, one of the young dude bartenders took my drink order. 5 DOUBLE shots of vodka with peach flavor. He came back with 5 shots, all filed to completely different sizes. I asked him why they all looked so drastically different, and he shrugged and said something I’m not quite sure of, but sounded allot like “it’s just how we pour them” I paid anyways, and tipped, to find out you couldn’t taste the vodka at all. So LAME… (Granted it was loud and the dude may have misheard me or something, but I very clearly said make them DOUBLEs, and none of them were filed similarly) Legit one plastic cup was maybe filed equivalent to a single shot, and it didn’t taste like alcohol at all, straight peach liqueur. Yesterday on nov. 2nd 2024. My friends and I went there for my friends birthday. My friend was getting hit on by a guy and kept touching her. She said she was taken and he wouldn't leave her alone. I told him to leave her alone and he was throwing insults at me. My other friend the birthday girl told him to leave her alone and he started throwing insults at her. He punched the birthday girl in the face and she took him to the ground. He told the bouncer and we ended up getting kicked out and not him. We tried to explain and he said he didn't care. As we were leaving the guy was still hitting on my friend in front of the bouncer. He kicked out the people getting harrassed. We used to go there all the time for snorkels....

My favorite stop for Oktoberfest 2018. Good music good crowd. Only downside was it gets really crowded and tight to move around or talk to people as we're most bars during fest. Bartenders were the nicest and usually worked there way back to you if you knew your order and were not waving your arms around...
