Burritos House — Restaurant in La Crosse

Usually I knock a star for cleanliness in the store. If I'm giving it a 5-star rating, that saying something.

The menu is what you'd expect with food prepared fast ala street cart. Everything is great on the menu. My go-tos are Trotas, Tacos, or a Quesadilla.

Burritos are offered. I think your stomach space is better spent on other offerings.

The Tortas are amazing. When you watch them make your food, you'd think that the bread is light and airy. But when you pick it up, there is some serious heft and body to the bread. Highly recommended, most likely the best place to get a Torta.

The tacos are amazing as well. Protein, cilantro, and onions laid on top of a flour tortilla. You're going to do a double take when you see the price of the taco. However, the quality of food and amount you get is worth it.

The protein selections are great. Favorite protein choices are chorizo and steak. There are other options available, even meatless.

Try the sauces when you eat here. The fire sauce is just amazing. The green sauce is a great compliment. Which every one you pick, you will be happy. Fair warning, the fire sauce BUILDS on the heat factor. It's so good, you can't stop eating.

Service is fast. Food is even better. Prices are great.

La Crosse/Onalaska area has a ton of Mexican style restaurants, Burritos House is probably in the top 2 for one of the best...

Decent hole in the wall. I lived in Mexico for a decade, and was looking for something authentic. Looking around La Crosse, this is the only place that seemed close to authentic.

Um…. So i tried everything on the menu Tacos (pastor): 4/5 Torta (pastor): 4/5. Sandwich was a little small Quesadilla (cheese): 5/5 great option for the kids Burrito (chorizo): 4/5

The pastor meat could be a bit better seasoned.

Not a complaint, just a note: there’s no chips...

Just went there tonight. Literally got the 8 steak tacos and a steak borrito, normal.Right? No, my WHOLE BORRITO WAS FILLED WITH REFRIED BEANS And barely any steak.. SAME WITH THE TINY STREET TACOS teensy weensy steak pieces. Like I get inflation but I'm not paying 36.00 for no flavor STEAK and no STEAK product. Save your money people and go somewhere else.
