I had a rather unpleasant experience at Jules this morning that I would like to share. My friend, who is in town for a fishing trip, called me and told me he was at Cabin coffee company(right across the street from Jules). I said let’s go to Jules as the coffee is better. He had already purchased a small coffee at cabin coffee company but would head over to meet me at Jules. As we sat down, a woman came up to our table and let us know that she was the owner. She told my friend that he wasn’t allowed to bring outside food into her establishment, leaving him with the option of either disposing of the beverage or leaving. He chose to walk outside in the pouring rain and dump his coffee out. I purchased him a new coffee. Her reaction seemed quite petty and left me in an embarrassing situation. I can understand not wanting to customers to bring outside food and eating a meal but to disallow a 2.50$ small coffee from a competitor seems rather trite. My suspicion is that if my friend would have been wearing a suite and not dressed for a day of fishing, she wouldn’t have...
