Disappointed all around on food portions and prices. Buying chips and salsa for $4.50 when the chips aren't even fried at the restaurant, just store bought chips and bags in plain sight, like really?! Had to ask for samples of the types of salsa when asked which salsa we would like on top of that, ended up getting the guacamole. Ordered a Blackend Mahi taco, was given 3 strips of which none was blackened at all. Portabella Asada was so/so. Short rib birria, barbacoa and chicken tinga, so/so. All tacos weren't really filling and filled to expectations. Wasnt given/offered any type of salsa to dress the tacos with( guess our samples from earlier must'vebeen enough). Cold corn appetizer, not enough of anything other than corn. Guacamole made to order and really good, which was a surprise and major plus. Ordered separate food to go, l paid a lot of money for real small servings, especially for the Pozole( which didn't even fill the container, and the garnish was thrown in, not separate ) and Carnitas Mac n cheese. Flipside, our server was really nice, Apple margaritas really good but again, too small for the price. Not sure what's going on here, but definitely needs to be reevaluated. First and...

We had a great experience here. The staff was friendly and helpful, everything we ate was fantastic. No it is not "authentic" whatever that means, But it is done with a take on authentic flavors and styles with cool fun twists.

We started with queso and chips. The dip was great.

All the tacos we tried were delicious they seem small for the price but with the awesome ingredients and the work that goes into making each component, it makes sense. Some people are used to cheap fast food tacos and don't understand this.

I couldn't pass up the elote dog which sounded so absurd I needed to try it. It was tasty and the sausage tasted of quality. my only complaint it that the sauce soaked into to the bun and it fell a part mid way. Maybe it should be severed on the side so the customer can apply it at the time of eating it.

The ranch beans are a must. Trust me. Perfectly seasoned.

Also the best margarita I've ever had. Don't past up the cocktails. They know what they're doing behind the bar.

Also the decor and vibe is cute and fun.

Can't wait...

To be CLEAR, my experience eating here is not great, but people I go with LOVE IT.

I would just like to say, I have a lot of food sensitivities (which is on me)...I also cannot have cilantro (soap). So I lean on plain foods like a chicken quesadilla when I go to places like this. This is available here, but it is disappointing. Every "chicken quesadilla" I've gotten here has been bad. Like it's burnt fried on cheese on a tortilla and really dry chicken. Dry dry dry. And no iceberg lettuce to even give it a little hydration, just very greeeen leaves on the side (and more cilantro). I like going here because the drinks are great! I just wish I could eat something simple here. I know most of its on me, but it sucks there is not like a "plain" option thats good. Most of the time I can find something, but not here.

I post this so people of my same problems know what they are getting themselves into. I like the experience. Could use better venting because the smell and smoke are very strong.

Great...

This four star is stretching it. We went for lunch one day and it was....fine, but good enough we would go back if someone asked us go join them. The drink I had smelled incredible but the taste did not match. Could have used lots more flavor The tacos were great and at a great price to try a few on the menu HOWEVER, bland. I ended up adding heaping amounts of hot sauce and still wishing I had some Goya or sazòne. My four star is honestly for the Rice. I'd definitely go out of my way for that rice. (Even tho...it still could have used a little more lime) We were the only ones in the restaurant and sat at the bar. We usually like the commodity and talking to the people who work buuuuuuuttt...nobody seemed interested that we were even there. L It's more "3.5" for my rating.

Extremely disappointed after being told to come here by multiple coworkers. Will give 2 stars for the ambience and the service. I ordered to go but it's super cool and food was on time which is important with hard parking. To be sure I got a decent sample, I ordered 3 things. Street Corn - Lol... Corn in like a weird milky liquid that was not seasoned and had no cotija. It was like soup instead? No chili powder. Was very odd. Duck Carnitas Taco - This was actually ok, I would order this again. Birria Noodles - Referred to as "ramen" lol but really it's super awkward like fettuccine in beef broth... Besides the soup and meat which were OK, was not very flavorful. Couldn't really finish it. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing but..... I don't know if that's just optimistic...

From reading all the reviews, Taqueria Pato azul is by far, far from authentic. It's more of a Mexican fusion instead. Food is over priced and bland. More seasoning could make the food taste so much better. $4.50 for a mini taco is a lot to ask for. The only thing we enjoyed was the beef cheek taco but not $4.50 worth. Very disappointed with the ceviche. I had asked the waitress if the shrimp was raw marinades and cooked in lime juice (the authentic way) and she said it was. However the shrimp were little cooked shrimp and ceviche had no flavor whatsoever. More lime juice and jalapeños would make it so much better. For a new restaurant, I wish them well and hopefully add more seasoning to their food.
