I'll start out with the positive as food was fresh and very good. As a burger connoisseur, I approve but I would honestly change out the iceburg lettuce for romaine or a butter lettuce. It detracts from the overall burger.
I have been in restaurant management for over 10 years and I must say that the employees are decent for the most part. However, probably because these are franchised locations, the general manager isn't very present. During their lunch, he sits working on signage at a booth in the lobby which should be done during off peak hours and not at 1pm. Maybe that's okay with him but there is no leadership up front or awareness of customer issues like mine. The employees are doing the best that they know how without a clear direction from management.
So my issue is with customer resolution where I took my parents and we had lunch with my kids. My mom forgot to ask for the senior discount and seconds after it 'approved', we asked if we could refund it and ring up the order again. She asked with one of the shift leaders or assistant and she gave the excuse that she could not because of the line. There was one family behind us. I know that it is very possible to do this and that is how cash handling works. It is a tad more paperwork and takes a few minutes but that was a pure display of laziness. At the VERY least, an option of explaining that they could do that or an easier option for them is to offer something else instead like onion rings or something. This was my first time at one of these franchises. But understanding a customer experience is at the pinnacle of being successful as a manager. We were not difficult and our request was not outlandish so I know a lazy way out when I see one. I have coached this many times in my own restaurant and have equipped my crew members with things to say. Again, not anything to the employee's fault but management was poorly executed on this front. I also had a hint of this because the cup containing creams were filled with empty containers...
Disappointment but at least a tasty yet somewhat more pricey meal. We paid closer to $80. Would expect more from a place like this in an already...

Read moreI have been anticipating this restaurant to open, been watching the building going up. I have been to other farmer boys and have a had a pleasant experience. Today we showed up, since is it newly open, at 6:10 am, ordered to meals, i asked the attendant for milk an she said they do not serve milk!! Wow, so i ordered orange juice instead, then to my shock! i see the other attendant serve milk to another customer, i spoke to the manager about it and she apologized, said the attendant was a new hire, Well, chuck this one on the manager's training. When we were served our meals, the manager said she owe us our fries since she said they were not ready because the oil needed to heat up, she said it will be another 3 min. approx. before we got them. 7 min. later still no fries. Wow! another management error. We started eating our burgers very slowly, as you all know what is a burger without your fries, right?. I complaint to the manager on duty and again she apologized, just got all fed up with the service and food, so i asked for a full refund since, we had only taken 2 small bites from our meal. What a BIG! disappointment!! I guess they will eventually fix the mediocre management team since the store is brand new. Or just don"t expect to get your meals complete will be the norm in this new store,...
