Visiting town with relatives. Have used this IHOP in past. Was looking a pleasant dining experience. Nice newly painted Handicap space out front. Went down hill after that. Front entryway was grimy and strewn with large volume of trash and cigarette butts. Need to pick up trash around store with each shift coming in. Manager needs to hire a power washer at least once a month and hose down the entrance to the store. While escorted to our table observed food remnants scattered all over the floor where we walked, under all tables and dropped eating utensils left adrift. Lots of tables not cleaned and set up for next customers. Waitress was quick. Food coming out of the kitchen took a while. Upon opening both eating utensil set ups, found caked on food deposits on the silverware along with dried on napkin pieces, where when placed into the washer, the napkins and food had not been removed or rinsed off before loading for the wash cycle. If you would not use them, why present them to me. Recommend that the MANAGER turn up the Dish Washer Water Temperature to ensure cleaning and sanitation of dinnerware and eating utensils and prevent Hepatitis and spreading other diseases! Before leaving, visited the restroom, and found it much the same state as the entry to the restaurant, if not worse. No one has used any soap cleaner with bleach product on the urinals in months, if ever. Same with walls and floor, and sink. Disgusting matter on walls where patrons have spit or made deposits of foreign matter. Makes one wonder about the state of the kitchen, since everywhere else is in such a disgusting state. What a shame. I need an alternative to Cracker Barrel, but this particular store is not holding up to corporate standards. Thoroughly disgusting. This Franchise is the epitome of why IHOP Cooperation is losing repeat customers throughout and...
Read moreMy order was prepared correctly and on time even though it was Thanksgiving afternoon. I believe the person that took my order was named Darren I know it began with D. When he took my order, he was very efficient and helpful and careful to solicit the advice of a co-worker. To be sure of my options and came up with a way to actually save me money and get the same quality of food. He pointed out to me that by my adding a bunch of changes to something, I could get the same meal for less and make it easier on the staff to cook it. Before I drove to the restaurant. I verified that my order would be ready. and could not help noticing in the background a very loud rude customer that seemed to be complaining about something in very foul language that was trivial. When I got to the restaurant, I ask where the person that took my order was, because I wanted to give him a very nice tip. The staff very politely said he was sitting outside because he had a very bad day. I don't really have any complaints. The restaurant was improved form when I had been to it. In the past, the food was really good. I found the entire staff to be helpful and friendly and concerned about their co-worker. Management may need to do a better job of controlling foul irate customers unreasonable who don't really seem to have anything to complain about. I understand that it is a delicate border between the rights of a customer and management response ability. Not to let that customer do track from everybody else's dining experience. Especially when they were children in the restaurant. Overall, I was impressed with the improvements in the restaurant. From my visit a couple...
Read moreArrived to this location at around 1pm with my mom. I noticed the parking lot was empty during prime lunch hours so I was pretty skeptical but very excited. I soon learned why it was empty.. We walked in being greeted by an energetic hostess/server. Strong start. When she took us to our table that's when it went down hill. She sat us at a dirty table that had crumbs upon touching it. Not that big of a deal. I asked if we could get a clean one (easy fix/chance to step up). The employee's response was, "oh that's just how the table looks" rubbing her finger across it. Needless to say I was speechless. Not angry but just so thrown off. All she could have done was give it a fast wipe down or sit us at any of the other 10 empty tables surrounding us. But I'm not the one to argue so I said ok and we sat (my booth seat had no cushion or at least felt like a gapping hole). Well.. the table was just too messy. There was even a wet spot from a previous drink on there. So I took the napkin from my silverware and started wiping it down. My mom decided to go to the restroom. When she was gone I noticed the silverware I took out was all smudged up.. The last tid bit was when another server saw me cleaning the table, checked on us, left, and came back telling us the previous server passed us on to her. When my mom came back from the restroom she sat down at the table for a little bit until I couldn't take anymore. I just had a bad feeling in my gut that told me to me leave and we did. That's a feeling and experience I don't want to have at a...
