ampm — Restaurant in La Mesa

My 17 year old daughter was getting gas at the 3775 Massachusetts Ave gas station when she was accosted by two older men, one was an employee..

She pulled up to a pump, put her credit card in the machine and it said lift handle and pump. She pumped gas but the machine stopped at $15. She thought that was odd and was getting her card out again when two men (no am/pm uniform) were quickly walking twords her. They started shouting at her that she is steeling gas and that she is not allowed to pump gas. They got in her face and started demanding that she give them money. At this point she is terrified and thinks they are crack heads (common in this area). They demanded cash. They demanded she open her wallet and give them money. She offered them the $10 she had in her wallet. They said that wasn't enough and that she had to go inside and swipe the credit card for more money. At this point she still wasn't sure if she was being kid napped or robbed. When they got inside the older middle eastern man went behind the counter, this is the first time she realized he might work here. All the wile still telling her that she can't get away with this and making her feel scared and as if she had done something illegal. They then took her card and charged the $15 to a different pump, sounds like it was for the other man in a white van (also terrifying).

She was crying telling me this story. She is scared to go to any gas station at this point. Your employee has terrorized my daughter. There is no excuse about the way this was handled....

I usually don't like writing negative reviews but this time I feel i need to speak my mind. Almost every morning, I stop at the am pm on Massachusetts Avenue (off of the 94). This place is always busy with customers on their way to work. My complaint is the poor customer service from the morning shift employee. She very rarely greets you with a smile or makes much effort to do her job. This morning, it seemed like nothing was prepared. No coffee, no premade food under the heat lamp container, etc... There was a line of people waiting at the register & the employee was nowhere in sight. She finally comes to the front counter with a grumpy attitude. To me, that's unprofessional & uncalled for. Please...

Went to get hot chocolate came out as water went to dump it out and she said she was gonna charge me 2 times so I put ice in it cause it was scolding hot I went to pay for it and they wanted to charge me a additional 35 cents I payed cash instead then gave them back there hot chocolate my wife’s experience was she had to get her cups from cashier and wanted the crushed ice but they had none but she had already bought the cups wow never been through this and the manager stated they were told by California that’s what they are supposed to do I’ve been to many am/pm cause my wife likes there crushed ice we have been getting it...
