Chuchees Frutorteria — Restaurant in La Mesa

This was my first time visiting, so I was taking a moment to look over the menu and decide what I wanted. A woman with red hair came to the cashier and started looking at me impatiently. I then got a quick call from my mom, as I was trying to see if she wanted anything. Before answering, I had already mentioned I wanted Tostilocos.

When I picked up the call, she gave me a rude look—maybe it wasn’t ideal to take the call, but I was genuinely trying to be thoughtful. After I hung up, I repeated my order, and she replied with an attitude, “Tostilocos?” From that point on, the interaction felt cold and uncomfortable. Even when she handed me the food, I said “thank you,” and she replied in a forced, unpleasant tone.

On top of that, the menu said $10.50, but I was charged $12.50. They added a lot of toppings, but barely any chips underneath. Unfortunately, I didn’t feel welcomed at all. It’s disappointing to see another small business offering such poor...

Delicious and refreshing! I had the Chamarindo, my brother had Chamango, and my niece and nephew had Chafresas (we ended up just ordering the 3 items on the picture under the counter because the kids are small and got very hyper and excited about all the colors and fruit decorations, we just ordered something quickly and we weren't disappointed!) We went for smoothies for the kids since we happened to be in the neighborhood and I found it on Google maps.
