Gold Coast Bagel Co — Restaurant in La Mesa

Really annoyed it says they are opened from 6:30am-3pm just arrived at 2:25 and there door was locked while some girl was still in the shop. Husband and I drove 20 mins to get here. They do have really good bagels and muffins.

Edit: decided to call and just see if they pick up and they did I asked if they were still open because it says they still are on google and the lady on the phone said no they they close at 2 but then proceed to ask me what we would like to order and I said idk we need to see the menu we have not been in awhile so I’m guessing they would have waited for us to come pick up if we ordered on the phone which is really nice but I let her know we were actually parked right in front and if we could come inside to look at the menu and order and she let us in. We ordered 2 Gold Coast breakfast bagels and we each got a muffin. I asked if they always close at 2 and she said, yes 2pm and then said the owner needs to change the time on google she apologized and and we thanked her for opening the doors when she didn’t have it. Thank you so much! The lady was cordial when she could have been the opposite. Great service. I’ve update my star from 1 to 5 because that was great service and done with a smile but also they really do have great bagels...

Being from Arizona I have never been here before but wow was I amazed. I tried the samples of the muffins on the counter and was blown away. There were super moist but not like mushy if that makes sense? And I'm looking forward to having one after my sandwich. Speaking of my sandwich I got the club and the lady taking my order suggested a specific bagel that was large and flat and would be better for sandwiches and I'm glad she made that suggestion because holy cow it was fabulous. I'm not a fan of mustard and forgot to ask for it without but it added flavor and made the taste much better. I'm sad that I'm going home today because I would love to come again tomorrow. OMG Love this place!! Went yesterday for the first time & I fell in love. I got the lox bagel on an everything & my oh my was it so delicious & the fresh squeezed lemonade was sooo refreshing. The senorita that took my order was so sweet & made me feel special..great service! The spot is so cute and I really liked that they utilize some extra space to sell odd ends, maybe to help some locals..IDK but I like the idea. If I lived closer it would be dangerous because I'd want to go every day. As soon as I finished eating I wanted more & I'm already online looking contemplating driving from Clairemont to get some more!! I will definitely be back!! Loved the bagel (I consider myself a bagel condesoiur..I've eaten ALOT in my day) I need more bagels. See you again...
