Panda Express — Restaurant in La Mesa

Steamed rice was hard as a rock. Orange chicken is soft and chewy. The fried rice was old. The string bean chicken was old as well. The whole meal was old. Had to call them. Drive back. Order again. Got the food home and it was fresh, the orange chicken was crunchy, the steamed rice fluffy but it was still off. I don't know if they got a new cook but the chow mein was Sooper greasy. Orange chicken was crunchy but gross inside the teriyaki chicken pieces tasted soggy and weird and hard inside but gross. Couldn't eat much of this. Only reason for 2 stars because I have been coming here for a while. The staff also forgot my teriyaki sauce. The staff and kitchen are off. Staff shortages. Lol 😂😂😂😂 At least they showed up to work. I work with adults with disabilities and a couple of my guys and myself went here on a outing to buy lunch, it was two of my clients who weren't buying and the lady was soooo rude!!!! She tells us "if you aren't buying you can not eat here I'm running a business" OK, understandable we would've taken our business elsewhere. But there is a way to talk to people and you DO NOT point your finger in someone's face. There was another customer in there who asked what the problem was when it was empty so she told us to sit our people in a corner like they're children. I just think if things were handled different it could've been better. But to keep my consumers from experiencing discrimination we won't be bringing them...

As a man that also works in a Kitchen I understand when you're trying to close but people keep putting in last minute orders. I honestly can't fathom why this place has only a 3.9 and others in San diego are higher. This one at least gave me fresh food when they didn't have any teriyaki at thr moment I ordered. Yes I had to wait longer but it was fresh, workers didn't complain, and the nice girl at thr counter gave me a free cold drink for my wait. All the other ones never do that for me and they always forget the sauces and etc. I asked for on my ticket. For the price you can't beat it. Thanks guys and ignore these nasty comments.
