Pete's Place — Restaurant in La Mesa

I attempted to go to Petes last night with my sister. The door attendant would not let me in because he believed I was too drunk. I have not consumed alcohol in weeks. HOWEVER, I have Multiple sclerosis. This causes my speech to become slurred and impaired. I explained this to the door attendant and I even went to my car to retrieve my handicap placard so I could show him some proof, but his response was that it was not his problem.

Hey Pete's Place, I am sorry that you are not comfortable with my neurological disability. However, the way you're staff handled this entire situation was unprofessional, unethical, and just plain cruel and mean.

Love this bar.. Prices are reasonable and bar service is fast.. ask for the cucumber thingie if you like vodka mixed drinks that aren't too sweet. They are meticulous about carding everyone even when you're obviously over 21. They have pool tables and an outdoor seating area in the rear. Restrooms are clean and so is the bar. Pete's Place is definitely a locals bar. Wide selection of craft beers, and friendly service. 2 coin pool tables and a great patio seating area. Prices are great and the vibe is friendly. After a couple visits you are considered a "regular" and greeted with smiles. The service is quick and is a great spot to stop during the week for a beer or during October fest, which takes place right behind the bar.
