Deluxe Tastee Cream — Restaurant in La Porte

I'm giving this business one star because there was no closing time information visible anywhere on the establishment and apparently the info was incorrect on Google. We tried to get a nice frozen treat on my mother's birthday and this was the only lace we knew if that sold sugar free, since she is a diabetic. Unfortunately the owner said she "can't control the Google site and other fake sites and we only have control over our Facebook page" not only is she wrong but that was only after the teenagers working there shut the lights off and laughed after seeing us at the window. After knocking for about a minute to get some information with the teens just peaking through the window and laughing, we went around back to ask why the shop was closed before 10, which is what it said on Google. Well apparently it closes an hour early on school nights when the local schools start. You would think they would have chosen to stay open late while there is a huge convention in town for the week. Or, at the very least, opened up the window to let us know what happened when they saw us instead of shutting the lights off on us (you know, like businesses who teach their employees good customer service would have done). We weren't the only upset would-be customers, at least one other car attempted the drive through and drove away upset after failing to get the workers attention (who you can clearly see walking around the shop due to the large windows). Seriously consider changing your business methods and maybe shell out the money to hire a more professional staff (or at least buy a sign with your correct closing times listed) or else continue to lose...

I normally don't post reviews. But want to follow up with the one from a week ago that Darlene Kozak posted. We were behind her in line and witnessed the whole thing. In my opinion the customer was right. They started to hand her ice cream one right after another as she was handing them to her family , No one claimed the ones with nuts so she tried to tell the teenager hey I didn't order this one because it has nuts. The young employee said yes you did and if you want something else you have to pay for it. She literally shut the window in the ladies face. I said well thats not nice. So we encourage her to tap on the window and just let them know there was a miscommunication. The young girl opened the window and had a poor attitude towards the customer, she said something about I dont need you to give me an attitude. Even though the costumer never raised her voice and was completely respectful, while trying to explain what she wanted. After a few seconds of going back and forth about what she wanted She asked to talk to the manager , and after doing so they did remake it, But when handing her the ice cream it was very sarcastic. Yes, it seemed totally like a misunderstanding. But the way the teenager handled the WHOLE situation was very unprofessional, rude, and completely out of line. Especially on Mothers Day. I probably wont be back either. Sad to see...

I used to love this place, but after tonight's visit never again. We walked up and a guy had a Sundae with chocolate and banana on it. I asked the girl for that without any nuts. I can't eat nuts. The girl said I asked for pecans. No no way would I order a nut. Not happening I want to live. I was gonna give it to my kids instead and just suck it up but when I told the girl she got so rude and didn't even accept her fault. The woman behind me said I need to speak up so my husband did. They fought hard and insisted the woman who can't eat nuts ordered nuts. And she changed it to pecans. Still a nut. All I wanted was a banana and hot fudge sundae no nuts. They just kept pushing the Sundae made wrong on me. Said they would give me bananas and I could keep the sundae. Hello what part of no nuts is so hard to handle. She finally made it right but after the horrible service no way am I going to eat it. I just can't trust anyone with such a horrible attitude...
