El Eskimal — Restaurant in La Porte

Atmosphere: Seems like a brand new spot, looked nice. Their menu is on tv screens, very modern.

Ordered a strawberry raspado & agua de sandía. The agua was good. Very natural and hydrating.

The raspado de fresa was disappointing. First, it was overly sweet. It was definitely not a natural flavor, it was an artificial sweetener strawberry syrup. Second, they charged me $1 to add strawberry fruit into it. Third, the ice hardened together and they gave such a cheap flimsy spoon that kept bending as i tried to separate and soften the ice.

El Eskimal, the new establishment looks really nice and it's a nice place as well, a good variety of snacks.

The only thing to be aware is that the corn is made with fresh cheese, and it's a bit salty, if you add lemon pepper it's salty as well, also the salsa for the corn it's salty, I should've ask before adding all the toppings to my corn if they have salt in it, i put the salsa and the lemon pepper and the fresh cheese and boy o boy it was salty.

Was gonna give this a 4 star rating but I have it a 3 due to hot dog being cold, hot dog bun was hard/stale… nacho cheese was cold, con in a cup was cold…. And everything was given to you separately…mind you, this was a to go order… so as we drove, it was very hard to drive…

Hoping the owners fix these minor details bc other than that, its a really good...
