I have been going here for about a month now. My new favorite spot. At first the dining room was open, which was a great experience, but now we can only dine on the patio due to Covid restrictions. The patio is quite large with nice decor, misters and ample separation. Most importantly the food and service are exceptional here. From the appetizers to the salads and main courses I could not be more pleased. My favorite server is Gina. She has given us tips on appetizers, select wines and dinner specials and has been on point each time. I was especially pleased recently with her recommendation of the Crater Lake Vodka & Citrus Gravlax. This cured salmon appetizer was to die for with thinly sliced cucumber carpaccio bundles so artistically prepared. In fact it looked so good I felt bad about cutting into it(but I had a job to do😏). We have also indulged on the Heirloom tomato and Burrata appetizer as well as the French Onion soup and each was delightful. On our first trip my wife really enjoyed the Traditional Spanish Paella. That same day I had the Seared Rare Ahi Tuna Nicoise Salad as my main course and was hooked on the restaurant right then and there. On a subsequent visit I tried the Oven Roasted Honey Brined Pork Chop. I went outside the box and asked if I could have it blackened and Gina said no problem. When I tried that pork chop I jumped up and down it was so good and the presentation was remarkable. In the future I will try the Caribbean Jerk Seasoned Chicken Salad. I don’t write many reviews but I needed to this...
Read moreLast visit to the region we had dinner here and returned because of the good food and ambiance here. This visit was even better! Started with a roasted beet salad and Humboldt Fog goat cheese with a light dressing of olive oil and some Balsamic vinegar. We followed with a New Zealand King salmon cooked to perfection with raviolis and a beurre blanc sauce. Also a Steak Tartar with all hand trimmings, meat was finely cut by knife as the recipe calls for. We enjoyed a Riesling by Trimbach from the Alsace in France, home of the Chef and a Cabernet based Médoc, which likewise was pleasant and most enjoyable. A pear tart with almond was enjoyed as dessert which was served with a fine ice cream. The service team was amazingly well trained, efficient, courteous and very pleasant. Special mention goes to Candice from France who looked after us. This dinner experience was fantastic and the service was great from the reservation process through the welcome and farewell. A small place where the sense of hospitality in true sense is celebrated and felt by all patrons. Definitely returning on our next visit to the area. Thanks Culinary and...
Read moreWent to La Brasserie last night and I got to tell you it was wonderful. Because of COVID and all the negativity regarding restaurants, we were prepared for long waits, mediocre food and anything else. It was our anniversary (55 years) so just wanted a smaller intimate with no loud banter. Well, greeted with a very pleasant hostess with a great smile and immediately guided us to our table. We ordered a bottle of Rombacer then settled in for a cheese board. The cheese board had a wonderful array of interesting cheeses, London Fog, Carpaccio, imported Swiss, dates, candied walnuts, a tasty blue and too many other things for enjoyment. Followed up by crispy duck and a steak this dinner couldn't be any more perfect. The wait staff was very attentive and the whole experience was wonderful. We have now designated La Brasserie our "go to" place that's also conveniently located near us. Very pleasurable experience so please try it and you won't be disappointed. A little pricey but what's not these days! Remember you can't take it with you so enjoy. Sam...
