We have dined at the Cliff House and it’s affiliate restaurant, Pacifica, many times. We’ve always enjoyed a wonderful experience in such a beautiful setting! However, our experience at Cliffhouse tonight was very disappointing! When we arrived for our reservation we asked if we could be seated outside. We were told quite brusquely that “ no there was no room”. The host then led us to a very noisy dining room to a table that was spaced about 2 feet from the adjacent one. I saw a table a short distance away in a quieter spot and asked if we could be seated there instead. The host said no that was a table for three and my husband and I could not be seated there. My husband explained that he had a hearing impairment and that he would not be able to hear anything I was saying if we were seated at the table she was planning to put us at. She left and after a couple of minutes came back and led us to a separate dining area where no one was seated. It was quiet but we wondered if we would ever be noticed by a server. However, shortly after, our server appeared and was very charming. Then a group of four was brought into the same dining area. They were going to be seated at a booth across from ours. They asked if they could sit outside instead. The host said of course you can and ushered them outside. This didn’t make any sense to us. Our meal then arrived and it was lukewarm at best. Our server was nowhere to be found. Finally I was able to flag someone down and asked if the meal could be heated up. The server graciously took it away and returned within about five minutes with a new hot meal. However, the salmon filet I received was now 2/3 the size of the original piece! My punishment?! Then when the bill arrived we were charged an additional $25 in error. All in all this made for a very disappointing evening. Will we go...
Read moreIn all my 28 years, born & raised in the CV. I finally got to experience The Cliff house Restaurant. & I was nooot disappointed.
Hubby & I arrived at 6:30. We had the choice to be seated inside or out. We sat inside, to where we walk into a huge beautiful bar 🍸 😍 Our table was facing towards the bar & the huge tv's where they had golf, soccer & baseball games on. We were also able to look behind us & got the most beautiful CV sunset view😍
We ordered a signature Cadillac & the Grapefruit Margarita 🍹 We shared a Ceasars salad for our starter, ordered the Short Ribs for dinner & an ice cream wedge for dessert 🔥 😋
LET ME TELL YOUUUUUUUU Maneeeee....
Drinksss were on point!! That Saladdddd thoughhh , oooooo that must have been the best mf salad I've ever had!!! The dressing is what made the cherry on top. It was so delicious that I asked for a second salad. Before my 2nd salad came too the table, our short ribbs came out with smashed potato's with a huge tender juicy chunk of meat on top, with perfectly chared/grilled brussel sprouts, (we dont even eat brussel sprouts but with the combination of each in ever bitee, ooooo sweet lord jesus, it was 🔥) & topped with some magic sauce drizzled over the dish. ( I swear I'm gonna need the recipe to all these sauces, lol) Omg ! & when that vanilla ice cream wedge came out uffffffff we both looked at each other & thought we were not gonna be able to finish it all. BUUUT WE DIDDD 🤣🤣
WE WILL DEFINITELY BE COMING BACK !
& in all our table was about $150 for a 2 person party.
& OF COUSE WE TIPPED!
We THANK the bartender, servers, foodrunners & bussers for the excellent service & all was well worth it. Next time, we're gonna sit outside though too get an even better view of the sunset (;
Great Job Guys, We Really Did Appreciate You All For...
