Louise's Pantry — Restaurant in La Quinta

This was my first time at Louise’s Pantry and the first thing I noticed on their door is that they post a sign of a $0.50 up charge per egg. In my head, I’m thinking any additional order of eggs will be up charged. I received my meal with three eggs, not thinking anything of it, and then they charged me, my husband, and our friend each for all eggs that came WITH our meals. I asked the manager about the up charge as the eggs already came WITH the meal and he says that’s what the sign on the door says. I informed him that it should be advertised differently, Or offer meals with one egg and any extra is an additional charge. I’ve never ordered a breakfast meal and paid attention to how many eggs it comes with, what I get is what I get. But to find out after i ate that I was charged extra for what COMES WITH me meal that is already $21.99 I was surprised. The manager said I was nice enough that he would remove the up charge, then proceeded to go to the kitchen, which is exposed to the customers, and talk about me and my complaint and laugh in disbelief. I first came here back in Oct 2023. I tried their Huevos Rancheros and they were really good. The best I've had. I received a big plate and couldn't finish it. I went again on Feb 2024 and noticed that the plate that was served looked different, it was smaller and I couldn't see my crunchy chips that I originally loved back in Oct. I went again today, 4/2024, and again I couldn't see my tortillas. I asked the waiter and he told me they where there. I searched underneath and I saw the 1 Tortilla, but it was a soggy tortilla. Nothing compare to Oct 2023. I told the waiter that I wasn't going to eat it. He offered a new plate with a crunchy tortilla. I accepted. I did get a new plate with 1 crunchy tortilla. The plate and flavor was ok for $20. As you can see on my 4/2024 picture, I finished the plate because it was smaller and less food than Oct 2023. Unfortunately, I won't be going back. One of my favorite sandwiches is the Monte Cristo, the thing about this sandwich is that the person who makes it must know what they're doing a lot of cooks think it's a hassle so they don't make them. In Los Angeles, I know of any restaurants that make a good money Crystal sandwich I moved out here and couldn't find no one then a friend at work told me about Louise's and I was shocked because I live right down the street from this place well me and my mother went she wanted to see how they made them but she loves them just like me it's probably both of our favorite sandwiches.
