Aspen Mills Bread Co. — Restaurant in La Quinta

After going to the PS street fair, I have been wanting to try Aspen Mills Bakery for some time. I found out that there was a La Quinta location and decided today would be the day! I placed a mobile order for $50 and even left a $5 tip ($55 total). I went to the location at about 3:30-3:40 to pick it up and sent my boyfriend in and then went home. Upon arrival to my house and after unpacking our food, I noticed the brownies I ordered were missing, so I drove back to the location where I was given my two pastries, then I went home and went to eat my salad first to find that they never put salad dressing in my order either. Irritated, I called the store where I was told I would be refunded for the salad and the brownies. I said that I still wanted to get the dressing, so I returned back to the location for a third time just for the employees to tell me they could NOT give me a refund because they had already given me my food and because their manager was not in, and then gave me two coupons for free sandwiches instead. Honestly they will probably not be used and I’m not sure that I will be back. I understand that mistakes happen but I spent one hour driving back and forth and not actually enjoying my food AND was told I would get a refund over the phone that I did not get. Vacation mode fully achieved! I've been indulging in all the delicious foods I usually try to avoid. If you’re ever in town, this is the place to eat before you head out!

The vibe here is all about FRESH. We drove over from Phoenix, which was about a 3 1/2 to 4-hour trip, and let me tell you, it was totally worth it for some wholesome eats!

We tried the New Porter and the Hacienda, and everything was freshly made that day—nothing short of incredible! The sides, like the pickle slice and the potato salad, were absolutely fantastic.

After lunch, we couldn’t resist grabbing some bread and buns to go! They had so many choices, including cookies and muffin tops. And drinks? They have everything from bottled water to fountain Pepsi, with free refills to keep you refreshed!

The bread we got was out of this world—cinnamon roll bread and dinner rolls that were to die for!

I had previously left a review earlier in the morning about my unhappiness about not being able to get the Kentucky Derby Pie that my family was so excited about getting. My brother-in-law had gone in about 2 weeks back wanting to buy or reserve the pie and was told there would be plenty and he couldn't reserve them. Today when went in they had taken reservations after all and were all sold out. I was very happy and appreciative to get a very quick response from the owner apologizing and offering to make things right by finding a way to get us a pie Monday. Since customer service and giving guest satisfaction has been my life for so very long I am probably even more happy than most people that they reached out so quickly to rectify this situation!! Obviously they have made a dedicated customer out of me! And I haven't even tried their pie yet!...
