Tiffany's Sweet Spot — Restaurant in La Quinta

My next door neighbor, who is a full time caregiver, had a birthday in April but I am just now waking up from my sugar haze after having some of the world's best chocolate cupcakes to write a note on behalf of Tiffany's.

My husband receives his after-stroke physical therapy at the Eisenhower clinic in the same shopping center and so we drive in from the Washington Street side and pass Tiffany's twice a week. No one knows how we could have missed our first visit for so long!!

*Big word of advice: Parking is easier if you go across the lot and walk up because there is constant traffic passing behind you if you pull in out front. Lots of cars can be difficult to see as there are many other businesses and I had to move stealthily and try to see around delivery trucks blocking my view. There are spaces across the lot, always.

People who know me are aware 1) I don't wait in long lines for food and 2) Parking must be survivable.

For my friend's birthday I wanted to surprise her with some great items she would not have time to buy for herself.

I was thrilled to step into one of the sweetest, cleanest and most attractive bake shops ever.

The young man at the counter was so great and helped with my questions.

Did I only buy a cupcake for my friend, you ask? No, I made sure to buy extra items to bring home and do "quality control" if you know what I mean.

Haven't you ever bought a big bag of treats before, taking only a portion out for the recipient?

Have you not placed the most beautiful cupcakes into the fridge and looked forward to having fun later on? But not too long in the future?

You have to visit and check out this assortment. Cupcakes are frosted while you're there. Only fresh ingredients we all want to see are used for these sweets, too.

There were choices galore- And Happy Birthday cookies!! Of course I got one! I gave it with the cupcake. (I'm not a monster.)

You will swoon at the flavors on the labels here. I have no idea how I left the shop without two big bags but I carefully got my one big bag home instead of dipping my hand in while driving.

I was so excited to go there for the first time and didn’t realize they were already closing…. as soon as I walked in the guy flipped the open sign to closed and both of the employees just glared at me annoyed …. Didn’t greet me … not even a fake smile …. I understand the frustration of someone coming in at closing time but it was extremely hostile. They were whispering back and forth to each other while preparing the order…… I had my kids with me hoping to give them a good experience. Very disappointed in the customer service that was provided. The cupcakes were good but the customer service just ruined the whole experience. The guy just waited behind us without saying a word just waiting for us to leave so he could lock the door. Not a positive vibe in there. Not a bye ,a thank you or anything from him.The girl tried to fake a “thank you have a good night” but it was so ingenuine …. Even my daughter said it was so awkward and they were very passive aggressive .I hope this can be brought to someones attention because I wouldn’t want anyone else to experience what i did as a first...

I recently stopped by this little cupcake place. I had to choose a variety. They were 4 for $10. I chose the Nutella, s'more, 3 leches or dulce de leche, and a vanilla one.

I loved the Nutella one the most. The cake was super moist. It was topped with a Nutella- ish frosting and nuts. It was delicious.

My second place went to the s'more cupcake. It had marshmallow frosting, chocolate sauce and graham crackers.

I did think the dulce de leche was better than the vanilla only because of the Carmel drizzled in the frosting.

Overall I would totally recommend this place. They also make adorable personalized cookies,

I would just like to recommend that the owner also make minicupcakes. My kids could not finish a whole cupcake. Also, I'm certain the adults would like to try more than 1 flavor...
