Wings ON — Restaurant in La Vergne

Hit or miss. Sometimes the food is good, sometimes it’s old, and sometimes I think things are double fried to seem fresher than what they are and end up burned, especially the sesame chicken or general tso. The cheese wontons taste like lard and they’re always fried really really (Jordan almond) hard with the egg rolls. I tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt but I’m done and leaving this review for the gen pop. They always leave my onion out of my food and I’m over it! Then to top it off, the lady ( I’m guessing she’s the owner) is either very pleasant or very hard to deal with/ snappy and attitudinal, and you’re spending your money. It amazes me how Asians can be racist amongst a certain group of ppl, and that same group brings them the most revenue, and don’t forget where Korean fried chicken really comes from. Wings ob has a mixed vibe going on, when you walk in, it looks exactly like a hole in the wall Chinese restaurant (which usually are the best). A sweet Asian lady took my order, they serve Chinese food and wings, I only ordered the 6 chicken wings combo meal which comes with a soda and your choice of fried rice or French fries. First time I’ve been offered this combo anywhere.

As you can see with the picture, they’ve taken Covid very seriously, took out all dining room abilities, built a wall that cuts off half the menu. You have no direct contact with the workers as everything is done through a small window pass through.

The food is fresh as I waited almost 15 minutes for it, once I got it, it smelled great, the fries were crispy but tasted like old fryer oil.

I have been to this restaurant plenty of times I always get the wings never had a issue until last night March 1 we ordered a big order 50pc wings when I got there I was charged more then what their menu says which I didn’t make it a big deal because I was looking at a online menu, but once we got home every one complained about the wings didn’t taste fresh no one really ate much of the food , we all ended up getting food poisoning I called the lady first thing in the morning when they opened up instead of her apologizing she tells me I need to go see a doctor if her food got me sick then to call her insurance company which is so ridiculous!
