In-N-Out Burger — Restaurant in La Verne

This place has been the go to spot for a number of years I mean I've only visited my parents house who live here but every time I do I go to the spot and it's always a big line but you can't blame people for a crowd never a bad thing the service is great the young kids who are totally mature an adult there's 17 or 21 or 29 these people all have a great attitude and are more than outgoing and helpful and it doesn't come off like some type of forced customer service I'm sure you know what I'm talking about but it's not look up the urban dictionary term okay great. Anyway I have nothing but good reviews here every time I've come here like one time I came in and I said my French fries were made a little too soggy because I like them slightly light and they were just a little underdone they had no problem making them.. I've used my same cup from eating here for dinner woke up and hit on the way out when they opened and they did not have a single problem let me save a couple of bucks you just refill me instead of buying a new drink I mean I only do this cuz I have the cops sitting in my cup holder and maybe you've noticed things are expensive and apparently they forgot to give the rest of us a raise. Certainly that these guys are making 20 an hour they deserve it. The food is always been great the atmosphere is as you would expect and there's plenty of room to park if you're planning on eating out of the patio which has plenty of round tables with shade for summer hot Days! me being hybrid LA & Orange county I'm used to the weather in 10° cooler in the summer. Although they do not offer any coupons they also don't do any huge advertising overhead and they keep their menu solid the same since they first opened and I appreciate that greatly. Last night I went there around midnight [03.03.25 {for you date lovers who appreciate looking back} lol] and I was deciding between Jack in the box in here and I thought about it and I'm like Jack in the box has nothing on In-n-Out it's literally a no-brainer. Try going into Jack In The box and asking them for a chocolate strawberry shake! Good luck! Although I like Lulu and the management over there they're just not the same. And with Laverne closing early because everyone's retired and me being the night owl that I am it's nice that they stay open till 1:00 am so anyway there's always room for improvement so I gave for out of 5:00 but I did hit em with a five piece star deal for the overall service cuz there's a couple of cute chicks that I like there! I go to this In-N-Out all the time and the service is usually good. But tonight I seen something that wasn’t OK. A homeless person was in a drive-through asking customers for some food. I seen one guy yell at her and make fun of her, I seen another customer give her money , and she took that money and went inside to buy some food. When I got to the window, I seen her inside waiting for them to serve her. They ignored her. When the worker asked me to pay, I told him to pay for her meal also and he Said they were not going to serve her. That place is full of food and they can’t even serve a homeless person that just got money and wants to get a Hot meal. So the homeless person got very mad and started talking crazy. It was obvious they had mental health issues, and all the workers could’ve done was give her some food so she can leave. So I went around one more time in the drive through and ordered again to buy food for the homeless person. By that time they had already called the police and the police were there and told the person to leave. One guy at the window was even hesitant on giving me my other food because he knew i was buying it for the homeless person(crazy right). After I got the extra food, I found her in the parking lot and gave her the food. She offered me the money she got from one of the customers and I declined and told her to enjoy her food and have a good night. Those guys that work there tonight were a little rude and low-key douchebags. Have a heart for people that are less fortunate and we don’t know what path she has taken in her life. Don’t be a jerk, help others in need. In n out makes millions, they will be ok giving away one meal. A lot of food is being thrown...

I am only giving them a 1 star because the people were nice in La Verne. I would prefer to give a zero star review. Now that In-N-Out has adopted the cook it until you kill it policy, I can say that I will never eat there again. I have been eating there since I was about 8 years old and I am now 55. Back then you could order a burger rare and you could get it. They did not cook it past a (true) medium. They were so tasty!!! About 10 to 12 years ago they changed their policy, where they would only cook it medium rare, which was not even the (true) medium they used to cook. I could tolerate them cooked that way, but it was not as enjoyable. With their new policy, it is like eating card board, or beef jerky with zero flavor. I hate to see the end of this company for me, but I guess I must. We now live in a country that tells food establishments how to cook their meat, rather than enforce stronger laws on cleanliness. Just cooking meat until it has no flavor, does not make it okay that it was contaminated in the first place and it does not make me feel better to eat it.
