The food here is undeniably tasty! We ordered the chicken and filet mignon plates, and both were solid choices. Each plate came generously served with a bed of rice, a grilled pepper, hummus, onions, pickles, bread, and a garlic spread (exclusive to the chicken plate).

The Chicken: Definitely the standout! It was flavorful, well-seasoned, and incredibly tender. The Filet Mignon: While not as flavorful as the chicken, it was still very tender and enjoyable. Sides: The grilled pepper, onions, and pickles were fantastic accompaniments, adding a nice balance of texture and flavor to the meal. The hummus, though subjective to personal taste, was excellent when paired with the fresh bread.

The rice was the only real drawback. It was overly wet—not in a rich, buttery way, but more like it had been cooked with too much water. If you’ve had this type of rice before, you’ll know what I mean (IYKYK). If they addressed this issue, it would elevate the meal tremendously.

Overall, this place delivers on taste and quality. If they fix the rice, I’d happily give it a 5/5. For now, it’s still a great spot to enjoy flavorful dishes with well-prepared proteins and satisfying sides. Definitely...

For years my wife and I had heard Diplomat in Glendora was great but never had a chance to go there. When they opened one in La Verne, we knew we had to make our way there at some point. We brought my dad here for his birthday and everything was great. The servers were kind, the place was CLEAN, and most importantly, the food was really good. And all for a great price. Hello, I ordered a well done beef kebab and it came out rare. The rice was also cold and didn’t have any flavor. The food overall was okay but the service was horrible. The server was rude, was standoffish from the beginning and I had to basically beg for my drink as i had to remind him repeatedly. I had a question and had to wait half an hour for him to show up.

Overall, the food was okay but terrible service. Wouldn’t recommend for first time and I was very excited to try this mediterranean spot...
