I’ve only been to Stater Brothers once this company don’t exist in Missouri I’d reckon it’d be a big hit though. Anywho I was just visiting my grandson and his family for the Memorial Day weekend and we happened to come to this market for some barbecue supplies. It was Monday Memorial Day afternoon and i guess everyone had the same idea of having a bbq which why it was so damn busy. But it’s understandable given the day. Anyway I just wanted say how much I loved this damn store y’all’s workers were top notch if I do say so myself and I do. I wasn’t able to catch all yours staff names but I did with the ones I chatted to. There was the head hanchos or the folks I believed to be management cause of their attire Frank and Victor such helpful folks - there was the man in the deli what beautiful attitude he had indeed such positive, chatty man I believe his name is Ronny or Randy I can’t seem to remember. There was the meat man who I can’t remember his name but helped me pick out the perfect meat for bbq very helpful indeed. Which was delicious by the way. There were the produce ladies who were kind enough to grab me some more avocados from the back after I told them that all the ripe avocados had been picked out. There was the young gal who was wearing a bright green vest I also can’t remember her name but I do remember it being one of an animal a Gazelle I think. Then there was the cashier his name was a beautiful biblical name Nazareth and he was such a kind man very suiting for such a name. He was quick which is great when the lines are that long. There was a young bag boy Can’t seem to remember his name but it was a white boy with glasses that reminded me of Harry Potter he was quiet and serious but very efficient. Then there was the young gal outside with the orange vest. Collecting all wheel baskets which there were a whole bunch of them I had a very nice conversation with this young misses now I don’t recall exactly what we chitchatted about but from what I do remember her name is Lilah I only remember that cause my late wife had the same exact name go figure. Anywho I really like this gal cause the only reason I end up havin a conversation in the first place was cause I couldn’t lift all the beers from the bottom of the wheel basket I was winded and struggling by lifting one come with the age unfortunately and she happened to be around and I guess took note cause before I could even catch my breath she came up to me and offered to help. Those beers aren’t light and there was at least 5 packs. I tried offering sweet misses a 50 dollar tip but she wouldn’t accept it. Anywho if you ever decide to open up a store in good old St. Louis Missouri make sure I get priority shipping of this young girl or even better just send this gal straight to my house I’d pay ya’ll good money for her and her just to be around. Anywho enough of my rambling yalls staff is great and all y’all’s whole store deserve to be recognized by...
Read moreIf I could leave no stars, that's what would be happening for this location. As I walked out of this store, I started sobbing because of the rudeness I received from the manager (a female with dark hair) and another employee. I have a medical exemption from wearing a mask and there was no issue with me not having a mask on until I had finished shopping and was standing in line to check out. I had just finished a 2 day road trip from the east coast with 3 kids and 2 dogs, was exhausted, had no food so needed to get stuff for our family, and was thinking I was going to get out of the store with no anxiety or issues. Then right before I checked out, everything hit the fan. I actually walked out because I was thinking the manager and one other employee (only 2 registers open) both were saying they didn't want to check me out. I walked right back in because I needed that food for my family and I had just spent 30 min shopping for our groceries. The manager ended up checking me out but there was no kindness, only rudeness, and I'm not one to try and cause confrontation so the second I walked out the door I started sobbing. What folks don't realize when they see others without a mask is that we already feel like the outcast, that everyone is staring and thinking terrible things about us, then you have to deal with rude employees and managers. Thankfully there was a very kind employee who offered sympathy, kind words, and even apologized.
Management should really try to understand that if they see someone without a mask, they are still people. They still have hearts...
Read moreOur neighborhood store location, this is by far my favorite place to shop. From quick run in and get out trips, to marathon holiday shopping visits this location usually has everything on my shopping list and more. The employees have all become familiar faces, and we are usually greeted enthusiastically as usual long time customers. My only complaint is that I inquired about Gold Coast Sourdough pull apart rolls, which they used to carry on the regular on their specialty bread rack, and got nowhere. Called Gold Coast who confirmed they still make the product. Then emailed Stater Bros corporate. who responded with an apology and reassurace that management at our location would be notified and the product would soon be back on their shelf to purchase. Well, here we are 9+ months since that apology and still no Gold Coast pull apart rolls in my store. Just have to figure something else out I guess. Oh, and we used to be able to special order a product called Jones Scrapple, which the meat department used to do for us upon request. We usually took the entire 12ct case so as not to burden the store with product that may/may not sell. They used to carry it on their freezer shelves along with other breakfast meats of its kind. Once Covid hit, all special orders ceased, and the meat department has refused to order it for us ever since. Now we have to travel to RC to buy it from Ralph's.. ...
